Whenever she sees young people in the hamlet driving erratically and revving their engines, Ms. Dung advises and informs their parents so that they can be promptly disciplined. Occasionally, when a group of students gather at a coffee shop in front of the school gate and show signs of quarreling and fighting, Ms. Dung calls the hotline of the Commune Police. Ms. Dung said: "Around the restaurant, coffee shop, and school gate, there are signs of the hotline of the Commune Police. If anything happens, I call immediately, thanks to that, I can prevent bad consequences." She propagates and mobilizes people around to unite and work together to build a safe and civilized residential area.

Thanks to the sense of responsibility of each citizen like Ms. Dung, the movement of the entire people to protect national security in Tan Hiep commune has spread more and more widely, becoming a beautiful way of life in the community. In addition, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Tan Hiep commune have issued specific plans, linking the movement with the tasks of socio- economic development and new rural construction. Hundreds of propaganda sessions and forums for the commune police to listen to people's opinions have been organized, attracting thousands of people to participate, contributing to raising awareness, arousing vigilance, and self-consciousness in fighting against crimes and social evils.

The highlight of the movement in Tan Hiep commune is the construction and replication of many effective models with strong community character such as people's security cameras, security gates, order, crime reporting hotlines, People's self-governing groups without crime and social evils, safe parishes in terms of security and order... In particular, 70 security camera recording eyes were installed in key areas, providing valuable information, helping the police force promptly detect and handle violations, reduce crime, and maintain security and order in the area.

Organizations, especially the Commune Women's Union, actively mobilize and propagate members and people to build a safe and civilized living environment. Chairwoman of the Tan Hiep Commune Women's Union, Le Thi Xuan Loc, said: "Determining that maintaining security and order is also keeping peace for the family, many women actively participate in mediation work, detecting and denouncing crimes, contributing to spreading the spirit of responsibility throughout the community. We build and replicate models such as safe houses, "5 no, 3 clean" families associated with the safety of women and children, trusted addresses - shelters, women's clubs to prevent and combat domestic violence... The movement really goes into every family, every hamlet, strongly promoting the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility".

Towards sustainability

The movement of the entire people to protect the national security in Tan Hiep commune does not only stop at crime prevention and control but is also closely linked with patriotic emulation movements, the campaign "The entire people unite to build a cultural life, build new rural areas". According to Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Chi Thien - Deputy Head of the Commune Police, up to now, the whole commune has 26/28 hamlets meeting safety standards in terms of security and order, 100% of agencies, schools and businesses have registered to meet safety standards in terms of security and order.

Entering a new phase, Tan Hiep commune continues to promote propaganda, replicate effective models, and implement the Law on Forces Participating in Security and Order Protection at the grassroots level, along with decrees and guiding circulars of the Government and the Ministry of Public Security . "Protecting national security is not only the task of the police force but also the responsibility of every citizen. We will continue to promote the role of the people, build a people's security posture associated with the national defense posture, contributing to maintaining political stability, creating a foundation for sustainable development so that every citizen can truly be a "soldier" in protecting a peaceful life", Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Chi Thien affirmed.

After 20 years of implementing Decision No. 521/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister , the movement of the entire people to protect national security in Tan Hiep commune has affirmed its enduring vitality, spreading widely among all classes of people, contributing to building an increasingly safe, civilized and happy homeland.
