With the desire to contribute to the conservation of wild birds and animals, including the red-crowned crane - a rare bird species in need of conservation, he spent a decade tracking and photographing cranes. The book is the result of more than 10 years of NSNA Nguyen Truong Sinh wandering through wetlands in Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Australia - where the last individuals of the red-crowned crane species still live. During that journey, he recorded more than 100,000 photos.

A former journalist, businessman and now a photographer, he often camped in the forest for days, just waiting for the moment when rare birds appeared. Artist Nguyen Truong Sinh shared: “I do not only take photos to record beauty, I take photos to preserve life and give hope. If a photo can move the heart, a book can awaken the conscience of the community.”

In parallel with the book launch, a photo exhibition of the same name was held from October 22-27, 2025, introducing 56 large-scale photos, capturing the magical moments of cranes. This is not only an art event but also a call for the community to turn to nature, and contribute to the conservation of rare birds in the face of environmental change .

Red-crowned cranes are now very rare in Vietnam. They are tall, ancient birds that have existed for millions of years, and still exist today. They symbolize faithful love, happiness in East Asian culture, and the perfect beauty of nature.
