Originally from Cai Nuoc commune, Kieu My entered the provincial Social Welfare Center when she was only 10 years old. Like many other children, she inevitably felt sad in the first few days in an unfamiliar place. Thanks to the love and care of the staff and her friends in similar circumstances, My gradually adapted and rediscovered her smile.
Kieu My's job is to care for and support children with disabilities, many of whom have severe disabilities.
Here, My was given opportunities to study. Believing that knowledge was the only way to change her life, My was determined to study. After graduating from high school, My enrolled in a vocational course in social work at the Provincial Center for Continuing Education , a field she considered "most suitable for her heart."
Ms. Kieu My devotedly cares for the children with both love and responsibility.
On the day she received her vocational diploma, My didn't choose to work elsewhere like many of her friends, but decided to return to the place where she grew up. When the Provincial Social Welfare Center was recruiting staff to care for disabled children, My applied and was accepted, as if by fate.
Kieu My's coming-of-age story is not only an inspiration for the children at the center to strive for success, but also motivates the staff and employees there.
Currently, Kieu My's job is to care for and support children with disabilities, many of whom have severe disabilities. In the beginning, caring for the children was exhausting for her. Instead of giving up, she became more patient each day.
" I understand the feeling of being abandoned and having an inferiority complex, so I always want these children to be loved and to feel the warmth of a family. Every time I see them developing well, I feel that all the hardships are worthwhile," shared Ms. Kieu My.

For Ms. Kieu My, life is like a beautiful circle: the shared home of the Provincial Social Welfare Center - where she was reborn in love, grew up, and returned to contribute to building a warm home, continuing to give love to underprivileged children.
