According to the coaching board of VTV Binh Dien Long An Club, the team won a place to participate in the 2025 Women's Volleyball Club World Championship thanks to the runner-up position in the 2025 AVC Champions League.

However, the team withdrew from the tournament because the FIVB's schedule coincided with the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) in Thailand - where the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is aiming for a historic gold medal. Most of VTV Binh Dien Long An's key players are also important members of the national team, making it impossible for the team to ensure the strongest force for the world stage.

The leadership of VTV Binh Dien Long An Club said that head coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa and 5 key players including Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Le Nhu Anh, Dang Thi Kim Thanh, Nguyen Khanh Dang are all on the national team list. The team determined that serving the country's flag is the top priority.

In addition, main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, currently playing in Japan, is also expected to return to join the Vietnamese team in December. With the absence of almost the entire main frame, participating in the world tournament is impossible for the Vietnamese volleyball representative.

Previously, VTV Binh Dien Long An won a place to participate in the 2025 World Club Championship thanks to the runner-up position at the AVC Champions League 2025 - a historic achievement for the Western team. Therefore, the decision to withdraw is considered regrettable, but also reflects the clear priority for national duties in the context of Vietnamese volleyball aiming for a big milestone at the 33rd SEA Games.

VTV Binh Dien Long An's withdrawal from the world tournament means that Vietnamese Volleyball will not have a representative at the most prestigious club level tournament this year. However, VTV Binh Dien Long An's decision received a lot of sympathy from fans, because this was a decision for the sake of the flag, showing the spirit of sacrificing personal interests for the common goal of the country's sports.
