Previously, residents complained that the Tran Van Thoi branch of the Land Registration Office was giving "special priority" to some applications, processing them ahead of schedule. Meanwhile, residents' applications were delayed for extended periods. In some cases, individuals claimed to have close relationships, or even instructions from superiors, leading residents to trust them and accept extra fees in order to receive assistance.
Furthermore, there are instances of officials and employees colluding and acting as "insiders" to assist brokerage groups in order to profit illegally.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ca Mau province, once the verification results are available, they will review, handle, and rectify the situation according to regulations (if any).
