The first Congress of Thanh Vinh Ward Trade Union, term 2025-2030

On the afternoon of October 22, Thanh Vinh Ward Trade Union held the 1st Ward Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030 with the participation of 108 delegates representing nearly 5,000 union members of 61 affiliated grassroots unions.

Thanh Vinh Ward Trade Union was established under Decision No. 278/QD-LĐLĐ dated July 11, 2025 of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation. The ward trade union currently has 61 grassroots trade unions with more than 4,740 union members.

Immediately after its establishment, identifying the core task of contributing to "Ensuring rights and better welfare", the Ward Union and grassroots unions have always been proactive and focused on taking good care of union members and workers. Carrying out activities of visiting and giving gifts to union members and workers; Directing grassroots unions to implement the "Union Meal" program; Deploying the organization of democratic conferences at non-public educational institutions in the 2025-2026 school year.

In addition, Thanh Vinh Ward Union has strengthened propaganda work, posting 60 news and articles on the Thanh Vinh Ward Union website; Focusing on propagating the spirit of mutual love and support of union members and workers in donating to support the people of Western Nghe An, accordingly, 28 grassroots unions have supported Western Nghe An to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 with an amount of more than 2.1 billion VND. In addition, actively participating in the common work of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Chi Cong - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged and commended the results achieved by Thanh Vinh Ward Trade Union in the past time. At the same time, he requested the Ward Trade Union to continue promoting propaganda and political and ideological education for union members and workers; Innovate the content and methods of operation suitable to the new situation; Promote the role of representation, care, and protection of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; Strengthen the application of information technology and digital transformation.

The Congress also identified 12 targets, 3 breakthroughs and 10 specific tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, the Congress announced the decision to appoint an Executive Committee of 9 comrades; Standing Committee, Inspection Committee, key positions of Thanh Vinh Ward Trade Union, term I, term 2025-2030. Accordingly, comrade Dinh Thi Thuy Mai was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of Thanh Vinh Ward Trade Union./.
