Professionalizing the Cau Giay union staff

Cau Giay Ward is a central area with rapid urbanization, with many businesses, schools, research institutes, and high-tech zones. Currently, the Ward Union has 181 grassroots unions with more than 12,000 union members.

From practical requirements, the congress agreed on the general goal of "Innovating the content and methods of trade union activities to meet the requirements in the new situation; performing well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; building a strong trade union organization, contributing to building a civilized and modern Cau Giay ward".

Along with that, the congress approved 9 targets, 6 tasks and 3 breakthroughs for the 2025-2030 term, emphasizing the building of a team of professional union officials, applying digital technology , promoting dialogue, collective bargaining and developing union members.

Speaking at the congress, Permanent Vice President in charge of the Hanoi City Labor Federation Le Dinh Hung suggested that after the congress, the Ward Trade Union Executive Committee proactively develop operating regulations, assign tasks; and deploy an action program to implement the congress resolution for the 2025-2030 term in accordance with local conditions.

During the implementation process, the Ward Union focused on innovating the content and methods of operation to suit the new organizational model, continuing to strongly promote the role as the most trusted representative of union members and workers.

In addition, the Ward Union promotes dialogue and collective bargaining in a substantive manner, focusing on issues of employment, wages, and occupational safety and hygiene.

In particular, the Ward Union proactively implements digital transformation in union activities; promptly grasps the thoughts and aspirations of union members, strengthens social consensus, advises Party committees and authorities to resolve arising issues, and maintains stability at the grassroots level.

“Union officials must be capable of mobilizing the masses, have enthusiasm and high responsibility for their work, and must be steadfast in the face of all difficulties and challenges. This is one of the core contents of the breakthrough that the congress has proposed,” Mr. Le Dinh Hung emphasized.

At the congress, the first term of the Ward Trade Union, 2025-2030, was introduced, consisting of 15 members. Of which, Mr. Lam Van Thao was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Cau Giay Ward Trade Union.
