In September and October 2025, Hai Phong Urban Environment One Member Co., Ltd. organized 65 propaganda programs, attracting more than 1,700 cadres, teachers and 30,000 students to participate.

Many forms of media attract students

With the goal of forming the habit of classifying solid waste at source right from school age, Hai Phong Urban Environment One Member Co., Ltd. is actively implementing many propaganda and guidance programs on classifying solid waste at source in schools.

Right from the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, propaganda and guidance activities were strongly deployed at schools in the wards of Hong Bang, Hong An, Ngo Quyen, Gia Vien, Le Chan, An Bien, Hai An and Dong Hai.

In the past 2 months (September and October 2025), the company organized 65 conferences and propaganda programs, attracting more than 1,700 cadres, teachers and more than 30,000 students to participate. The propaganda events were organized vividly and creatively in many forms such as: performing arts, painting competitions, interactive exchanges and knowledge learning, practicing green living habits, protecting the environment...

Thanks to that, the message of classifying solid waste at source becomes more accessible, arouses interest and encourages students to proactively practice waste classification at school as well as at home.

Students are instructed to classify household solid waste, properly dispose of waste into appropriate bins, and classes are scored weekly based on compliance and waste classification efficiency.

In addition to propaganda activities, the company also cooperates with schools to widely deploy the model "Schools thoroughly classify 3 groups of waste: recyclable waste, organic waste and other household waste". After the propaganda programs, the schools signed a competition agreement with the company, committing to thoroughly classifying household solid waste right from the classroom.

To date, 35 schools have signed a commitment with the company, such as primary schools: Nguyen Duc Canh, Kim Dong, Le Hong Phong, Du Hang, Nguyen Trai...; secondary schools: Ly Tu Trong, Hoang Dieu, Vo Thi Sau, Le Chan, An Da... on classifying domestic solid waste. After being classified in schools, the waste is collected, transported, processed and recycled by the company according to a separate and thorough process, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020.

A representative of Hai Phong Urban Environment One Member Co., Ltd. said: Currently, many schools in the city continue to request the company to coordinate in organizing propaganda programs, especially increasing propaganda forms in each class and lesson to further improve awareness and practice for students.

The company is ready to support schools with guidance documents, propaganda staff and implementation of waste collection, transportation and treatment according to regulations so that waste classification at source in schools is effective and sustainable.

Raising awareness of waste classification at source

Since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect, the company has coordinated with localities to implement the work of classifying domestic solid waste at source according to a new model. In particular, it has coordinated with local People's Committees to build and supervise the implementation of "Model residential groups on classifying waste at source".

The program of waste classification at source in schools in Hai Phong city not only continues to contribute to the implementation of the goals of the Law on Environmental Protection but also demonstrates the strong commitment of the city government and the urban environment sector in educating and shaping the awareness and responsibility of citizens from school age.

This is an important step towards building a generation of green living and green action, as well as successfully implementing the goal of building a green economy and circular economy, contributing to creating a green, clean, beautiful, civilized and livable Port City.

Currently, Hai Phong Urban Environment One Member Co., Ltd. has a collection network in all central wards of the city with nearly 1,500 officers and workers. The company's staff and workers are fully equipped with knowledge and skills in classifying and classifying domestic solid waste, helping propaganda work as well as performing tasks to achieve high efficiency.

To thoroughly classify, collect, transport and treat waste, the company arranged 3 specialized vehicles to transport 3 separate groups of waste instead of 1 vehicle carrying all types of waste as before. At the same time, proactively improved and upgraded the 1-compartment vehicle to a 3-compartment vehicle to separately collect 3 groups of waste that have been classified by people.

At Trang Cat waste treatment area, the company arranges to receive, process and recycle separately and thoroughly all types of waste during the day.
