Many forms of media attract students.

With the goal of instilling the habit of sorting household solid waste at source from a young age, Hai Phong Urban Environment Company Limited is actively implementing numerous programs to raise awareness and provide guidance on sorting household solid waste at source in schools.

From the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, propaganda and guidance activities were strongly implemented in schools in the following wards: Hong Bang, Hong An, Ngo Quyen, Gia Vien, Le Chan, An Bien, Hai An, and Dong Hai.

Over the past two months (September and October 2025), the company organized 65 conferences and awareness programs, attracting more than 1,700 staff and teachers and over 30,000 students. These awareness campaigns were lively and creative, utilizing various formats such as cultural performances, painting competitions, interactive discussions, knowledge sharing, and promoting green living habits and environmental protection.

As a result, the message about sorting household solid waste at source becomes more accessible, sparking interest and encouraging students to proactively practice waste sorting at school and at home.

Students are instructed to sort household solid waste, dispose of waste properly in the appropriate bins, and classes are scored weekly based on their level of compliance and effectiveness in waste sorting.

In addition to awareness campaigns, the company also collaborates with schools to widely implement the model of "Schools thoroughly sorting three groups of waste: recyclable waste, organic waste, and other household waste." Following these awareness programs, schools sign emulation agreements with the company, committing to thoroughly sorting household solid waste starting from the classroom.

After sorting within the schools, the waste is collected, transported, processed, and recycled by the company according to a separate, thorough process, ensuring compliance with the regulations of the 2020 Environmental Protection Law.

A representative from Hai Phong Urban Environment One-Member Limited Company stated: Currently, many schools in the city continue to request the company's cooperation in organizing awareness programs, especially strengthening the forms of communication in individual classrooms and lessons to further improve students' awareness and practices.

The company is ready to support schools with guidance materials, outreach staff, and the proper collection, transportation, and processing of waste to ensure that waste sorting at source in schools is effective and sustainable.

The waste sorting program at source in schools in Hai Phong city not only continues to contribute to achieving the goals of the Environmental Protection Law but also demonstrates the strong commitment of the city government and the urban environmental sector to educating and shaping the awareness and responsibility of citizens from a young age.

This is an important step towards building a generation that lives and acts green, as well as successfully achieving the goal of building a green and circular economy , contributing to creating a green, clean, beautiful, civilized, and livable port city.

The company's staff are fully equipped with knowledge and skills in sorting solid household waste, helping to achieve high efficiency in both public awareness campaigns and task implementation.

To ensure thorough waste sorting, collection, transportation, and processing, the company has deployed three specialized vehicles to transport three separate groups of waste, instead of one vehicle carrying all types of waste as before. Simultaneously, they have proactively improved and upgraded single-compartment collection vehicles into three-compartment vehicles to collect the three groups of waste that residents have sorted separately.

At the Trang Cat waste treatment facility, the company arranges for the separate and thorough reception, processing, and recycling of all types of waste throughout the day.
