As the 24th photo book in Nguyen A's career, "80 Years, a Confident Vietnam" is a selection of over 200 photographs, carefully chosen from thousands of images the author captured during five years of traveling across the country, from the northern border to the southernmost tip of Ca Mau . Each photograph not only records a moment but also preserves light, memories, and a deep love for the homeland.

The book's highlight is its simple yet profound approach. Besides iconic images such as parades, training, and international peacekeeping missions, the work devotes significant space to everyday moments of the bond between soldiers and civilians, such as soldiers helping people rebuild homes after storms and floods, harvesting crops, and clearing fallen trees. It is these small, heartwarming images that highlight the core values ​​that have forged the strength of the Vietnamese People's Army: "For the people, we selflessly."

According to photographer Doan Hoai Trung, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, the book has a "story told through images that are authentic, poignant, and rich in humanistic values; it doesn't photograph to record events but to preserve the heartbeat of the nation."

Some representative photographic works from the photo book "80 Years, a Confident Vietnam" are on display at the Youth Cultural Center.
