On December 13th, the organizing committee of the photo and writing contest about Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, themed “A 10-Year Journey of Spreading Knowledge and Positive Cultural Values,” held an awards ceremony at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street. This event was part of a series of activities celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Book Street's establishment and development (January 9, 2016 - January 9, 2026).
The creative writing contest, which ran for two months from September 15th to November 15th, attracted active participation from a wide audience. According to the organizers, more than 400 photographs and nearly 50 articles were submitted, vividly reflecting the role and importance of the Book Street in urban cultural life.
Each artwork offers a unique perspective and story, capturing familiar moments of the Book Street through different seasons, events, and daily life. From images of elderly people reading in the morning and students exchanging knowledge, to cultural exchanges and art exhibitions, the Book Street emerges as an open space where knowledge and emotions are nurtured together.

In the writing category, the organizers awarded prizes to numerous authors for works that showcased diverse perspectives on Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street, ranging from personal memories and student experiences to reflections on the role of reading spaces in a major city. The articles were highly praised for their sincerity, emotional depth, and ability to reflect the relationship between the Book Street and the city's cultural life.

Alongside the awards ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street also inaugurated the photo exhibition "Ho Chi Minh City Book Street - Cultural Impressions Through the Lens of 10 Years". The exhibition showcases 50 works by 23 authors selected from a photo contest, capturing vibrant moments of the Book Street through various seasons, events, and daily life.

Through this competition and exhibition, Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street is once again being re-evaluated not only as a space for selling books but also as a place to connect knowledge, nurture reading culture, and form lasting spiritual values in the heart of the country's most dynamic metropolis.
