Opening the Congress, Chairman of the O Cho Dua Ward Trade Union Nguyen Quy Tung emphasized: The Congress is not only an opportunity for union officials and members to summarize and evaluate the results of activities in the past time, but also a democratic forum, expressing the will, aspirations, intelligence and responsibility of the team of workers, civil servants and laborers for the development of the locality.

The political report presented to the Congress shows that, after being established on September 24, 2025, the O Cho Dua Ward Trade Union has quickly consolidated its organization and managed 96 grassroots trade unions with over 11,430 union members. This team plays an important role in the socio-economic development of the ward, with a high-quality workforce. Thanks to the stable development of the ward's economy, with trade and services as the spearhead industry, union members and workers basically have stable jobs, gradually increasing incomes and improved material and spiritual lives.

The Congress agreed on the general goal for the 2025-2030 term as: "Innovating the content and methods of trade union activities to meet the requirements of the new situation; caring for the lives, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; building a team of trade union officials to meet the requirements of the digital transformation period; contributing to accompanying the Party Committee and people in building O Cho Dua ward to develop sustainably in the new era - civilized and modern".

The Congress set out 3 breakthroughs and 8 key tasks; striving for 70% of non-state enterprises to organize labor conferences, build and organize dialogues at the workplace; 85% of enterprises/units with trade unions to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements in accordance with the law; 90% of union members to access and proficiently use information technology in their work.

Speaking at the Congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of O Cho Dua Ward Le Ngoc Han requested the Executive Committee of the Trade Union to strengthen political and ideological education , build a team of cadres and civil servants with courage, responsibility, and dedication to serving the people; promote patriotic emulation movements, associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

Trade unions need to pay attention to taking care of the rights and lives of union members, coordinate with the government to discover and introduce outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admit; develop the number of union members in the direction of increasing quantity and strengthening quality...
