Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union promotes its representative role and cares for workers.

The 1st Congress of Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030, was held on the morning of October 26 with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".

Attending the Congress were comrade Ho Cong Duong, Permanent Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation; commune leaders and 79 delegates representing more than 5,000 union members and workers in the commune.

Currently, Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union is managing 10 affiliated grassroots trade unions, with 4,843 union members out of a total of 5,218 workers and laborers. In the third quarter of 2025, the Commune Trade Union completed the dossier to establish a new grassroots trade union with 48 union members, bringing the total number of union members admitted in the quarter to more than 200 people.

Union members and workers of Ham Kiem commune always demonstrate a sense of responsibility and solidarity, contributing to building a strong union organization. The work of caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers has been effectively implemented; employment, salary and insurance policies have been guaranteed, helping to stabilize life with an average income of 6.5 million VND/person/month. Emulation movements have been launched enthusiastically, spreading a positive working spirit. The commune union has given 30 gifts worth more than 20 million VND to union members in difficult circumstances, while 100% of grassroots unions maintain gift-giving activities on holidays and Tet and actively participate in humanitarian and charitable activities.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Ho Cong Duong, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, requested the Ham Kiem Commune Labor Union to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in accordance with the characteristics of the area with industrial parks; focus on the grassroots, taking union members, workers, civil servants and laborers as the center. At the same time, strengthen the work of protecting and caring for the rights of workers; promote emulation movements associated with socio- economic development; encourage the spirit of initiative, innovation, technology application and promote digital transformation in production and labor.

During the 2025-2030 term, Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union set out 10 key targets, focusing on the breakthrough of improving the effectiveness of representation, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. The targets are achieved through dialogue and collective bargaining, with special attention paid to issues of wages, bonuses, working hours, rest time and occupational safety and hygiene.

The Congress also announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee and key positions of the Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term; and at the same time announced the Decision to appoint delegates to attend the 1st Lam Dong Trade Union Congress. Comrade Tran Duy Thanh was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union.
