Tan An Ward Women's Union: Accompanying women to improve digital capacity

On the morning of October 25, the Women's Union of Tan An ward held the 1st Women's Congress of the ward, term 2025 - 2030.

The congress was attended by 118 official delegates, representing 8,671 women's union members in the whole ward.

The Women's Union of Tan An Ward was established on the basis of merging the Women's Union of Tan An Ward and Hoa Thuan and Ea Tu communes (old) with 32 women's associations of villages, hamlets, and residential groups. In the period of 2021-2025, the Union has focused on strongly innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on selecting content, key issues and close needs of women to direct and implement.

In particular, implementing the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", the whole ward has 12,647/13,570 households meeting 8 criteria of a family of 5 no, 3 clean. Implementing the program "Godmother", the Association has mobilized philanthropists to support the upbringing of 14 orphans in difficult circumstances with a total support amount of over 110 million VND. The work of building a prosperous, happy, civilized family has been focused on with many meaningful activities.

Social security, humanitarian and charity policies are implemented with many activities such as visiting and giving gifts to Association officials, women, poor children and those in especially difficult circumstances; awarding scholarships, giving health insurance cards; supporting people in flood-affected areas in the Northern provinces... Activities to participate in environmental protection and respond to climate change are carried out in a variety of ways.

During the term, the Association has provided capital to support women in starting businesses for 40 women with a total cost of over 1.2 billion VND; coordinated to open 5 vocational training classes for 175 female workers, introduced and created jobs at home for 220 female workers; maintained savings models with a total amount of over 6.2 billion VND to support 338 female members to borrow revolving loans for economic development; helped 15 households headed by women escape poverty and near-poverty according to multidimensional criteria...

The Association has also paid attention to and performed well its functions of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal interests of women and children. The work of consolidating and building the Association has been focused on, attracting more and more women to participate in the Association.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Women's Union of Tan An Ward identified two breakthroughs: Comprehensive digital transformation in the Union organization, accompanying women to improve digital capacity and Promoting women to start businesses, innovate, and get rich legitimately. At the same time, focus on implementing five key tasks: Supporting women to develop comprehensively to meet the needs of the new era, building a prosperous, happy, progressive, and civilized family; Mobilizing society to implement gender equality for the development of women; Participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system, participating in state management, building a great national unity bloc; Developing members and building a strong Union organization; Promoting the active and proactive role of the Union and women in people's foreign affairs.

In particular, the Association strives to annually help at least 2 female-headed households escape poverty or near-poverty according to multidimensional criteria and mobilize and support at least 10 families to meet the criteria of "Family of 5 has, 3 clean"; 70% of members and women use banking applications or e-wallets in payment transactions; by 2030, 80% of officials and members will have. Women are equipped with basic digital skills...

Comrade Le Thi Thanh Huong, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Ward, holds the position of Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tan An Ward for the 2025-2030 term; appointed Delegates to attend the 1st Provincial Women's Congress, including 3 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate.
