Phu Quy Special Zone Trade Union promotes its role as a bridge between the Party, government and workers

On October 24, the 1st Congress of the Phu Quy Special Zone Trade Union (Lam Dong), term 2025 - 2030, was held in an atmosphere of solidarity, democracy and responsibility. This is an important political activity for cadres, union members and workers in the entire special zone.

Attending and directing the Congress were Comrade Ho Cong Duong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor, and 50 delegates representing all union members and workers throughout the Phu Quy Special Zone.

The Phu Quy Special Economic Zone Trade Union was restructured following a reorganization and merger process aimed at streamlining the organizational structure and aligning with the requirements of operational reform in the current period.

Currently, the unit directly manages and directs 8 grassroots trade unions and 2 professional unions with a total of 381 workers, employees, and laborers, including 126 female union members.

In addition, there are more than 500 self-employed workers in the area working in construction, trade, services, tourism , etc., who have not yet joined a trade union.

Previously, on October 23rd, the Duc Linh Commune Trade Union held its first delegate congress for the 2025-2030 term, with the participation of 97 delegates representing all officials, union members, and workers in the area.

Following the Phu Quy Special Zone Trade Union Congress, the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to direct the organization of congresses at 5 commune/ward trade unions, including: La Gi, Ham Thang, Phan Thiet, Lien Huong, and Ham Kiem.

Trade unions need to genuinely care for and protect the legitimate interests of their members and workers; using their interests, satisfaction, and level of participation as a measure of their effectiveness, thereby strengthening solidarity and attracting workers to the trade union organization.

In addition, the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor is closely coordinating with the Party Committees of communes and wards in the work of establishing trade union organizations at the grassroots level, aiming to ensure that trade union organizations are truly connected to and support workers right from the grassroots.
