Mr. Dinh Van Nghia was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Trade Union of the Gia Lai Province Branch of the Social Policy Bank.

(GLO)- On the afternoon of December 3, the Trade Union of the Gia Lai Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Dinh Van Nghia, Deputy Director of the VBSP, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the first Trade Union.

Attending the Congress were General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Duong Quyet Thang and 150 delegates representing 384 grassroots union members.

With the slogan of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", for the benefit of union members and workers, for the long-term stable development of the Social Policy Bank, at the Congress, delegates focused on discussing and comprehensively evaluating the achieved results, pointing out the shortcomings and limitations in the activities of the Social Policy Bank's grassroots trade unions in the period of 2023-2025; at the same time, they agreed to set out many important targets for implementation in the term of 2025-2030.

Accordingly, in terms of expertise, strive for 100% of poor households and other policy beneficiaries who have needs and meet the conditions to have access to social policy credit capital; average annual growth in outstanding loans is 10% or more; outstanding loans from local trust banks are 15% or more by 2030; 97.7% or more of savings and loan groups are classified as good, with no average or weak groups.

Regarding Trade Union activities, building grassroots Trade Unions to annually complete their tasks well or better, striving to have 90% of departmental Trade Unions annually complete their tasks well or better; striving to have 90% or more Union members achieving the title of excellent Union members every year, and 90% or more female workers achieving the title of excellent women at the grassroots level; during the term, 28 or more excellent Union members will be introduced to the Party Cell for training and admission into the Party.

The Congress also announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Provincial Branch for the first term, 2025-2030.

Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union has 9 members. Mr. Dinh Van Nghia - Deputy Director of the Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030.
