Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Thai Thu Xuong, presents Tet gifts to workers at the Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party program organized by the Provincial Labor Union.
Besides caring for its members, the Provincial Labor Union also demonstrated its social responsibility by coordinating the implementation of the Tet Military-Civilian Program in 2025, donating 50 gift packages to officers and soldiers in border areas. Trade unions at all levels also proactively implemented many creative and appropriate forms of care tailored to the specific characteristics of each locality and unit.
In total, during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025, the entire province provided care and gifts to 617,940 union members and workers with a total budget of 287.046 billion VND from union funds and social contributions. In addition, the Provincial Labor Union visited 21 union members suffering from serious illnesses (total cost of 61 million VND) and handed over 69 union-sponsored homes, each costing 70 million VND, to support union members facing housing difficulties.
To commemorate the founding day of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28th), the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions organized a Trade Union meal at 6 locations with the participation of 8 grassroots trade unions, and distributed 300 gifts (worth 300 million VND) to union members in difficult circumstances. Hundreds of other grassroots trade unions also proactively organized collective meals, creating a space for bonding and boosting the morale of workers.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Union organized a working group led by leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and relevant departments and agencies to visit and present gifts to workers at two enterprises to assess labor relations and identify difficulties and obstacles faced by employers and employees. Based on this, the Provincial Labor Union promptly advised the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and proposed solutions to the province and relevant departments to support enterprises in restoring production and stabilizing employment for workers.
In addition, trade union branches visited and supported 8 union members suffering from serious illnesses or accidents (amounting to 28 million VND); presented 100 gifts to outstanding trade union officials and union members in difficult circumstances at the "Workers' Aspiration - Trust in the Party" forum; and signed a Union Member Welfare program with 7 businesses, expanding benefits for union members.
Overall, welfare activities were implemented in a timely, practical manner, encompassing both material and spiritual well-being. The trade union continued to affirm its representative and protective role through negotiating and signing collective labor agreements, improving meal allowances, providing legal advice, and offering timely support to workers facing difficulties.
Vibrant activities during Workers' Month 2025
The 2025 Workers' Month, themed "Vietnamese Workers Pioneering into a New Era," was marked by numerous diverse activities, creating a competitive spirit among union members, workers, and employees. In response to the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health, trade unions at all levels organized many practical programs such as sports events, competitions, performances, and football matches; and visited and supported workers who suffered work-related accidents or serious illnesses.

Accordingly, the Provincial Labor Union organized the launching ceremony for the Workers' Month at Happyland Tourist Area (Ben Luc commune) and Trang Bang Industrial Park, attracting more than 1,500 union members and workers. The "Thank You to the Workers" program was implemented in 20 enterprises; competitions on occupational safety and hygiene, the Trade Union Law, and the Social Insurance Law took place enthusiastically with the participation of a large number of workers.
Ms. Tran Thi Diem Huong, a worker at Y Thanh Production and Trading Co., Ltd. (Thu Thua commune), shared: "Participating in the 'Thank You to Workers' Program and listening to the sharing and recognition from the company's leaders and the Provincial Labor Union, I am very happy. It is an encouragement for me to continue striving, overcoming difficulties, and staying committed to the company for the long term. I hope that workers will continue to receive attention and more practical policies."

In addition, trade union branches at all levels handed over "Trade Union Shelters," organized cultural and sports activities such as singing contests, mini-football, running, badminton, chess, and folk games; and implemented the Member Welfare Program with many preferential items. Throughout the province, 100% of higher-level trade unions and 1,508 enterprise-level trade unions organized activities during the Workers' Month, achieving 170% of the target. The total expenditure for welfare activities during the Workers' Month was nearly 32 billion VND, contributing to creating a positive atmosphere and improving the lives of workers.
With its continuous, large-scale, and substantive activities, the Provincial Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a solid support for union members, workers, and employees. Its comprehensive care, from legal assistance and welfare to material and spiritual well-being, contributes to stabilizing labor relations, creating motivation for workers to work with peace of mind, and supporting businesses in overcoming difficulties, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
