After 1 year of launching (from August 29, 2024 to September 30, 2025), the second contest "Drawing Vietnamese Cultural Heritage through Painting" has attracted 1,320 works from 990 authors nationwide. This is not only an opportunity for artists to express their love for cultural heritage through their paintings but also to encourage the preservation and honor of the nation's priceless heritages.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 30 prizes to authors with winning works, including 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 3 youth prizes and 20 consolation prizes.

Participating in the contest, Gia Lai had 2 works awarded consolation prizes, which are Vuot (artist Dinh Viet Thanh) and Thanh am trong dai ngan (artist Nguyen Viet Xuan).
The work "Vuot " (oil on canvas) depicts the finish line at the Bay Nui Ox Racing Festival - a unique traditional cultural and sports festival of the Khmer people in the Bay Nui region (An Giang province). With the meaning of connecting the community and praying for a bountiful harvest, this racing festival has become a national intangible cultural heritage.
Meanwhile, Thanh am trong dai ngan (wood carving) is the echo of gongs during festival seasons and po thi (grave abandonment) in the highlands.

On the same afternoon, at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, the Organizing Committee opened an exhibition of 30 award-winning works and 70 works in the final round of the competition. In addition to the two award-winning works, Gia Lai has 3 works selected for exhibition including: Matriarchal Joy, Heritage Shadow (artist Nguyen Van Chung); Po Thi Ceremony (artist Vo Van Tieng).
