Speaking at the film introduction on December 4 in Hanoi, journalist Nguyen Kim Khiem, General Director - Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Radio and Television, emphasized that the film "Sweet Alluvium" is part of the communication and propaganda activities of Hanoi Radio and Television to disseminate and raise public and social awareness of the Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, especially the Red River Landscape Avenue Axis - a project with the driving force for the new development stage, a symbol of the Capital in the new era.

According to journalist Nguyen Kim Khiem, not only does the film recreate the simple rhythm of life with a storytelling style that touches emotions in very familiar situations, the cinematic scenes of the film convey the existing and potential beauty of a land, helping viewers clearly feel the strategic vision of Hanoi city in moving towards harmonious development between urban and nature, both improving the environment and reviving the cultural and historical values associated with the legendary Red River.

From stories in Ben hamlet, the film contributes to spreading the spirit of building a "green axis - cultural axis" and forming social consensus for the vision of "City on the Red River".

Belonging to the psychological-family genre, "Sweet Alluvium" depicts the lives of riverside residents, conveying their resilient spirit, desire for change, and dreams of rising up.

“Sweet Alluvium” takes the audience to the Ben hamlet community - where life is nurtured by the ups and downs and aspirations of people attached to the Red River. This is also the Mother River that has created the history of Thang Long - Hanoi because of its role as a traffic artery, a water source that nurtures a fertile alluvial land and forms a cultural center rich in identity.

Director Nguyen Manh Ha and his crew chose the film's setting from the old quarter to the riverside working-class neighborhoods. When Hanoi planned to take the Red River as an important development axis in the new period, the city's changes were clearly reflected in the daily life of the riverside community. The wild banks were gradually taking on a new look - urban areas, ecological areas, and modern civilized landscapes opening up livelihood opportunities for the people. In that shift, the film reflects the change between the past and the present, where people both preserve the memory of the river and step over the threshold of a rapidly changing city.

The smooth combination of outstanding actors from many generations is the attraction of the film. Among them, there is People's Artist Tien Dat - the role of Mr. Tan, the head of the residential group; Meritorious Artist Quach Thu Phuong as Ms. Hong - the elegant woman of Trang An who brings her son back to live by the river; Meritorious Artist Minh Tuan as Mr. Hoan - a common man who loves his family and has a charming comedic color; Meritorious Artist Anh Tho as Ms. Hoe - the owner of a tea shop, the "information connection point" of the neighborhood.

Besides, actors Linh Son, Ha Phuong Anh, Hoang Phuong, Dam Hang, Hoang Du Ka, Quoc Toan... create a colorful picture of riverside life.

Sharing about how to realistically portray the lives of people living along the Red River, director Nguyen Manh Ha said that after many years of observation and research, the film crew found that in recent years, the areas along the Red River have had many strong movements. The crew approached the lives of the people here for a long time to have material, then spent time preparing carefully before filming in September 2025.
