Long Son Company Limited donated nearly 500 tons of cement to build houses for households whose houses collapsed due to floods.

In order to support the province in implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" to rapidly build and repair houses for households damaged by the recent floods, on the afternoon of December 3, Long Son Company Limited organized the transportation of cement to localities in the province.

In this donation, Long Son Company Limited provided nearly 500 tons of cement to rebuild 89 houses that were completely collapsed due to floods in 30 communes and wards in the province. Each household received an average of 5.6 tons, equivalent to 112 bags of cement; the total value of the donation was over VND800 million. On the afternoon of December 3, the company handed over more than 60 tons to 11 households in Suoi Hiep and Dien Dien communes. According to the plan, the entire amount of cement will be handed over on December 3 and 4.

Previously, the Department of Construction sent a document to the People's Committees of communes and wards about the allocation of cement volume donated by Long Son Company Limited to build new houses for households whose houses were completely collapsed or swept away by floodwaters in the whole province. Accordingly, Long Son Company Limited transported cement to the headquarters of the People's Committees of communes and wards; priority was given to communes and wards that had human resources ready for construction. The People's Committees of communes and wards organized the transportation to the house construction sites.

The Department of Construction requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to organize implementation, proactively contact Long Son Company Limited; assign focal points to regularly contact and support the unit; receive cement (reception must be shown in writing, minutes or receipts... with confirmation from both parties); distribute cement to the right subjects, in the right quantity; manage and preserve cement according to regulations; do not let cement be damaged or lose quality.
