On the afternoon of December 4, the Provincial Military Party Committee held a conference to issue a resolution on leadership in the implementation of military and defense tasks and Party building work in 2026; summarize local defense work in 2025, and deploy tasks in 2026. The conference was held in person and online at two locations. Comrade Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee attended and chaired the conference. Building a clean, strong and exemplary Provincial Military Party Committee

In 2025, thoroughly grasping the leadership and direction of the Party Committee of Military Region 2, the Party Committee of the Border Guard and the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee; the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command have led and directed the successful completion of the goals and targets of the year 2025. Notably: Advising the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to promulgate and deploy the action program and plan of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation; deploying approved defense projects in accordance with regulations. Well implementing border diplomacy and people's diplomacy; effectively maintaining the twinning activities of border posts - border stations and twinning of residential clusters, communes - villages, towns on both sides of the border, contributing to building a peaceful , friendly, cooperative and developed border. At the same time, leading and directing the effective implementation of Decree 03/2019/ND-CP of the Government; Maintain strict combat readiness, proactively coordinate information exchange, grasp, assess, and accurately forecast the situation; effectively advise on handling situations, avoid being passive or surprised. Promote the core role in building a national defense and border defense system associated with a strong people's security posture, and build an increasingly solid "people's hearts posture".

Promoting the achieved results, in 2026, the Party Committee of the Provincial Military Command will continue to thoroughly grasp and resolutely and effectively implement the Party's resolutions and directives on military, national defense and Fatherland protection tasks in the new situation. Continue to strictly maintain combat readiness, ensure safety during holidays, Tet and important events of the country. Do a good job of advising the Steering Committee to carry out the provincial exercise tasks; complete 100% of the plan for education, training and dissemination of national defense and security knowledge to the subjects; coordinate to build 17/17 border communes to well implement the movement of all people participating in protecting sovereignty and border security. The conference also proposed solutions to lead military and national defense tasks, and the work of building a strong Provincial Military Party Committee, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Xuan, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Military Party Committee in the past year. To successfully carry out the military and defense tasks in 2026, he requested the Provincial Military Party Committee to continue to do a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to lead and direct the implementation of management work in the field of National Defense, advising on timely and effective handling of situations related to political security and social order and safety, avoiding being passive and surprised. Thoroughly grasp, concretize, and effectively implement the goals of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, leaders should improve the quality of training and combat readiness of the provincial armed forces; advise on consolidating, perfecting, and improving the quality of operations of the Military Commands of communes and wards; Promote the role of the Regional Defense Command and the Border Guard Command in military, national defense, and border work in the area. Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh also requested departments, branches, sectors, and People's Committees of communes and wards to coordinate well in performing military and defense tasks in the locality. The Provincial Military Agency needs to continue to coordinate with the Police force to strengthen inspection and control of key areas, grasp and correctly assess the situation, have plans to protect each task, handle situations, ensure security and defense in the area, and create favorable conditions for socio-economic development.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that from now until the first quarter of 2026, many important events of the country will take place. Party committees and organizations at all levels need to focus on leading and directing the implementation of military and defense tasks closely, grasp the situation, handle situations, and avoid being surprised.

Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh also requested the Party Committee of the Military Region Command to continue to pay attention to leading and directing the implementation of military and defense tasks in the area. At the same time, he hoped that the leaders of Military Region 2 would receive the opinions and proposals at the conference to report to the Ministry of National Defense and the Central Military Commission to soon have solutions to remove difficulties in staffing, equipment, facilities, etc., especially in areas with difficult and complicated terrain and long borders like Tuyen Quang. From there, the province will continue to better perform military and defense tasks, meeting the requirements of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

In 2025, national defense work has been thoroughly grasped and deployed synchronously and comprehensively. The awareness of leaders at all levels, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in the province about national defense tasks has been constantly raised. National defense education work has been deployed synchronously and extensively, thereby raising the spirit of revolutionary vigilance and awareness of protecting the Fatherland of cadres, party members and people.

The provincial armed forces are regularly strengthened, provided with basic training, and have a high combat readiness. The construction and operation of defense zones are carried out synchronously at all levels; directing defense zone and civil defense exercises achieves high results, and military recruitment reaches 100% of the target. The national defense and security posture in the area is consolidated, contributing to firmly protecting the Fatherland of Vietnam.

Concluding the content of the Summary of local defense work in 2025 and deployment of tasks in 2026, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc affirmed that the conference seriously assessed the results of the implementation of defense tasks in 2025, pointed out the remaining shortcomings and limitations and proposed solutions to achieve better results in the implementation of local defense tasks in 2026. He assigned the Provincial Military Command to receive and complete the draft Report to submit to the Provincial People's Committee.
