Representing the city of Hanoi at the event was Tran Sy Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.
Also attending the opening ceremony were leaders from various ministries and departments; 34 provinces and cities; representatives from international organizations, corporations, businesses, and a large number of people.
The fair achieved "6 bests".
In his opening remarks at the fair, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that this is a very important economic and cultural event, not only on a national scale but also internationally, honoring typical products and brands that embody Vietnamese identity and intelligence; contributing to stimulating domestic consumption, spreading the spirit of "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods," promoting trade, investment, and international integration, and achieving economic growth of over 8% in 2025 and double digits in the following years.

The first Autumn Fair in 2025 will be held from October 25th to November 4th at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, a new symbol of the capital city – a place that brings together, illuminates, and spreads the spirit of innovation, cooperation, and development.
This event follows the success of the "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" exhibition, which fostered national pride, spread patriotism, self-reliance, and the strong aspiration for progress of the Vietnamese people.
With the theme and message "Connecting people with production and business," the first Autumn Fair - 2025 was organized on the largest scale ever. The total exhibition area exceeded 130,000 m², comprising 5 themed zones, approximately 3,000 booths; a culinary and cultural area featuring 34 localities, music festivals, cultural performances, and artistic experiences…
The fair brought together participants from 34 provinces and cities; central ministries and agencies; over 2,500 Vietnamese and international organizations and businesses; and also attracted a large number of international partners and friends to showcase products, conduct trade, network, and seek opportunities for cooperation and investment.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the 2025 Autumn Fair, which, despite being the first of its kind, had a short preparation time, a large workload, high demands, a vast area, and required the coordination and participation of many agencies and units; yet achieved "six bests": the largest scale; the most modern space; the most diverse range of products; the highest quality; the most attractive activities; and the best preferential policies.

Moving forward to the annual "Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter" four-season fair series.
The fair is a vivid and compelling testament to the country's integrated mindset, outstanding capabilities, aspirations for breakthroughs, and contemporary stature; it is also a symbolic embodiment of the spirit of unity, creativity, high determination, great effort, decisive action, and the "only talk, not back down" attitude of the Government, ministries, localities, and the business community, entrepreneurs, and people of Vietnam.
Beyond just record-breaking numbers, the Fair also provides a favorable opportunity for the promotion of trade, investment, tourism, and the cultural image of Vietnam and its people to be seamlessly and effectively combined; it is a place where domestic and foreign resources are connected - investment cooperation is expanded - trade is boosted - consumption is stimulated; it is a place not only to experience shopping for high-quality Vietnamese goods but also to enjoy the rich, creative, and unique cuisine, culture, and art of Vietnam.

The fair also serves as an important bridge for Vietnamese businesses to strengthen international economic integration, exchange experiences, and receive technology transfer, especially in digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, and knowledge economy, contributing to the realization of the two strategic goals for the 100-year period - for a peaceful, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam.
To ensure that the fair truly becomes a "destination" for trade, a "meeting point" for cultural and artistic exchange, and a "gathering point" for connecting and providing vibrant experiences for the people and international friends, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is moving towards organizing a series of annual four-season fairs ("Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter") and an annual international autumn fair.
The first Autumn Fair - 2025 not only opens up new spaces for connection between businesses and consumers, between Vietnam and the world, and between people and production and business; but more importantly, it is a place for "the source of creativity - the shining of intellect - exchange and learning - affirming capabilities - spreading pride" and the spirit of "the State creating - the pioneering enterprise - the public and private sector working together - a prosperous nation - a happy people".
At the opening ceremony, the organizing committee launched a fundraising campaign to support people in need, especially those localities suffering severe consequences from Typhoon No. 11.
The Prime Minister requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front and called on the business community, people, and soldiers nationwide to continue joining hands to donate and support people in flood-stricken areas, with the noble gesture of "national solidarity and brotherhood," and "helping those in need."
