
The 11th Hanoi Sports Festival in 2025 is the largest event of its kind to date, marking a new stage of development for both mass sports and high-performance sports in Hanoi. With 25 competitive sports and thousands of athletes and referees participating, the Festival is not only a platform for training and competition but also a celebration of sportsmanship, solidarity, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle within the community.

The 11th Hanoi Sports Festival will be held over 42 days, from November 4th to December 15th, 2025, in 12 communes and wards and 4 sports facilities under the Department of Sports. The festival will feature competitions in 25 sports, including: Swimming, athletics, table tennis, football, badminton, Taekwondo, wrestling, tennis, volleyball (leather and inflatable), basketball, Karate, aerobic gymnastics, Wushu, billiards & snooker, chess, Chinese chess, sports dance, Pencak silat, Vovinam, roller sports, esports, traditional martial arts, sepak takraw, health-promoting gymnastics, and tug-of-war.
The opening ceremony will take place on December 15th at the Hanoi Athletics Stadium, and the closing ceremony will be held at the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center - Cultural House. This year's Games are one of the practical activities to celebrate the 18th Congress of the Hanoi City Party Committee, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

With the theme "Hanoi Radiant - Aspiration to Soar High," the opening ceremony began with a musical performance themed "The Triumphal Song of Thang Long and the Song of Glory Awaiting Us."
Next came the parade, following the procession carrying President Ho Chi Minh's portrait and the Red Flag contingent, which included groups from various emulation blocs such as: the Hanoi Capital Command, Hanoi Police, Youth, Farmers, Women's Union, and the team of outstanding athletes… Immediately after that, the parade of 11 clusters divided into 22 parade blocks representing the wards and communes.

Following the ceremonial part, the festivities continued with an artistic program welcoming the opening ceremony of the 11th Hanoi Sports Festival, themed: "Hanoi Shines Brightly - Aspiration to Soar High".
The Organizing Committee announced that this year's opening ceremony will be the most impressive and spectacular in history. The program will have its first dress rehearsal on December 13th, the second dress rehearsal on December 14th, and the opening ceremony will take place at 8:00 PM on December 15th, 2025 (Monday). The program will be broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television and on various digital platforms.
