
In the mixed 10m rifle final, Lê Thị Mộng Tuyền and Nguyễn Tâm Quang defeated their Thai opponents with a score of 16-14, winning the gold medal.
In gymnastics, athlete Dinh Phuong Thanh excelled in the parallel bars event. He proved unbeatable in the men's parallel bars final. He performed a near-perfect routine and scored 12.900 points, bringing home another valuable gold medal for Vietnamese gymnastics. This is the third gold medal for Vietnamese gymnastics at the 33rd SEA Games. Immediately afterwards, Phuong Thanh also won a bronze medal in the horizontal bar event with a score of 13.133 points.

In pétanque, the athletes performed excellently, winning a double gold medal thanks to the efforts of Lý Ngọc Tài and Ngô Ron in the Men's Doubles event. Just a few minutes later, Nguyễn Thị Thi and Nguyễn Thị Thúy Kiều continued to win another gold medal in the women's doubles event for Vietnam.

On the same day of competition, Vietnamese swimmers continued to assert their strength by winning gold medals in several events. Swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang continued to demonstrate his superiority in the men's 1500m freestyle, maintaining an absolute lead and leaving all his competitors far behind. The swimmer from Quang Binh finished with a time of 15 minutes 19 seconds 58, confirming his impressive form in his specialty event. Meanwhile, his teammate Mai Tran Tuan Anh also finished right behind him, bringing home another silver medal for Vietnam.

Earlier, in the men's 400m individual medley final, athlete Nguyen Quang Thuan maintained the lead for most of the race and finished first, bringing home another gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation. His teammate Tran Hung Nguyen also finished second, securing another silver medal.

In athletics, in the women's 400m final, Nguyen Thi Ngoc finished first with a time of 51.83 seconds, winning the gold medal. Meanwhile, in the men's 400m, runner Ta Ngoc Tuong won the silver medal, finishing behind the host country's athlete from Thailand (45.13 seconds). Ngoc Tuong finished with a time of 45.53 seconds, breaking the national record of 45.59 seconds that he himself set at the national championships in August of this year.
In canoeing, the duo of athletes Ma Thi Thuy and Nguyen Thi Huong also brought home another gold medal in the women's 200m double sculls event.
In karate, in the men's -67 kg Kumite final, Khuất Hải Nam defeated his Thai opponent, thereby winning the gold medal.

Meanwhile, in the women's taekwondo events (over 67 kg and under 73 kg), Bac Thi Khiem dominated her opponent from the Philippines, winning the 17th gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
In the mixed doubles Audition event, Vietnam won the gold medal with the pair VN_Elina (Le Thi Hoai Phuong) and VN_Demo (Le Ngoc Truong Giang) after defeating Thailand in the final with a score of 2-0. However, this was an exhibition event and therefore did not count towards the official medal standings.
After the competition day on December 12th, the Vietnamese sports delegation made a leap forward in the SEA Games 33 rankings, rising to second place with 24 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 35 bronze medals; behind host country Thailand with 53 gold medals, 31 silver medals, and 19 bronze medals; and ahead of Indonesia with 13 gold medals, 21 silver medals, and 17 bronze medals.
