SEA Games 33, December 12th: Petanque team scores with 2 consecutive gold medals.

On the afternoon of December 12th, Vietnam continued its string of gold medals as the Vietnamese Petanque team secured a "double" victory in both the men's and women's doubles events.

In the men's doubles event, the pair of Ly Ngoc Tai and Ngo Ron kicked off a winning streak by brilliantly defeating the host team Thailand in the final to win the gold medal.

Following that success, in the women's doubles event, the pair of Nguyen Thi Thi and Nguyen Thi Thuy Kieu also defeated the host team Thailand in the final, completing a "double" gold medal win for Vietnamese petanque.

Thus, after the first gold medal won by athlete Nguyen Van Dung in the Shooting event, the Vietnamese Petanque team now possesses a total of 3 gold medals at the SEA Games 33. This achievement once again affirms the team's superiority.
