On today's competition day (December 12th) at the SEA Games 33, the Vietnamese sepak takraw team entered the group stage matches of the Team 3 event with the goal of advancing to the next round.
In their first match, the Vietnamese team delivered a convincing performance against the Philippines. With excellent teamwork and superior technique, the Vietnamese team quickly overwhelmed their opponents and secured a decisive 3-0 victory. This win created a favorable psychological momentum and provided a crucial foundation for securing a place in the next round.

However, in the next match, the real challenge came when we had to face Thailand – the world's number one powerhouse in sepak takraw and also the host nation of this year's Games. Against an opponent that was too strong and well-balanced in every position, the Vietnamese team was unable to create an upset and accepted a 0-3 defeat.
At the end of the group stage, with a record of 1 win and 1 loss, the Vietnamese sepak takraw team finished second in their group, thus officially securing a place in the semi-finals.
According to the schedule, the semi-final match between Vietnam and Indonesia will take place at 3:00 PM tomorrow (December 13th). This is predicted to be a tense and dramatic match, as both teams are highly determined to win a place in the final to compete for the gold medal.
Fans are hoping that the coaching staff and athletes will make appropriate tactical adjustments to overcome the challenge posed by Indonesia.
