Ahead of the SEA Games 33 men's football semi-final, goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien affirmed his determination to maintain high concentration, considering protecting the goal as the top priority to help the U22 Vietnam team achieve the best possible result.
In preparation for the semi-finals, the Vietnam U22 team continues to practice tactical strategies, build up physical fitness, and is urgently finalizing their performance before facing the Philippines U22 team at 3:30 PM on December 15th.

Coach Kim Sang-sik's team had to travel a long distance to reach the training ground on December 13th. This is a new location, arranged by the organizers, with good quality grass, ensuring favorable conditions for the entire team.
During this training session, coach Kim Sang-sik spent most of the time focusing on tactics, urging his players to improve their seamless coordination between lines, flexible off-ball movement, and appropriate transitions between phases.
Goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien said that after the victory against U22 Malaysia, the players quickly returned to training, closely following the coaching staff's training plan to prepare for the match against U22 Philippines.
Hoang Anh Gia Lai 's "Spider-Man" affirmed that the victory against Malaysia provided a mental boost, helping the whole team feel more confident to continue performing well in the semi-final match. He also said that the coaching staff always holds professional analysis meetings after each match to adjust and improve performance.

Assessing the U22 Philippines team, Tran Trung Kien expressed respect for the opponent. Although U22 Vietnam had previously defeated U22 Philippines in the semi-finals of the Southeast Asian U23 Championship, Trung Kien remained cautious: "I always think the Philippines is still a strong team. They beat Indonesia in the group stage, and the whole team is well aware of that."
Sharing his personal goals for the SEA Games 33, Trung Kien hopes to keep a clean sheet to contribute to Vietnam U22 winning the gold medal in men's football. "There's competition in any environment. Whether it's me or anyone else getting a chance to play, we will all focus and give our best when we have the opportunity," the 22-year-old added.
