Cai River water level rises rapidly, armed forces promptly support people to harvest vegetables

On the afternoon of October 25, water from upstream poured in, causing the water level of Cai River to rise, threatening to flood the crops of people in Kim Binh village, Ham Thang ward, Lam Dong province. The ward's armed forces quickly supported people to harvest in time.

At about 2:00 p.m. the same day, the water level in Cai River suddenly rose rapidly, causing many crop areas of households cultivating along the river to be at risk of being flooded and severely damaged.

Upon receiving the news from the grassroots, the leaders of Ham Thang ward mobilized the police force, grassroots security and order force and the ward military force to urgently approach the flooded area, supporting people to collect crops out of the danger zone.

The water rose so quickly that people's vegetables were flooded.

About 40 officers, soldiers and local forces coordinated with local people to "race" against the water to harvest vegetables and transport them to higher ground.

Thanks to timely support, by about 4:30 p.m. the same day, the authorities had helped 3 households harvest nearly 4,000 ^square meters of crops, minimizing economic damage to the people.
