The functional forces continue to strictly maintain the command and duty regime, the 112 hotline to receive and process information on natural disasters and catastrophes; ensure the rescue force is on duty 24/24 hours. The city deployed 100% of the armed forces on duty from October 22 to carry out the task of preventing and fighting natural disasters and searching and rescuing, closely monitoring forecasts and warnings to promptly notify agencies, units and people to proactively prevent.

The city's Border Guard has coordinated efforts to educate and guide fishermen and vessels operating at sea to safe shelters, avoiding dangerous areas. Anchorage areas have been inspected and reviewed to ensure absolute safety for vessels and crew members.

Currently, more than 4,000 fishing boats with over 21,000 crew members have been notified and instructed to move to safe anchorage areas; more than 100 boats with over 3,300 crew members operating at sea have been contacted and instructed to move out of the storm's affected area. Cargo ships and vehicles operating in Ky Ha port and Da Nang port have all been arranged to anchor safely, with inspection and supervision by functional forces.

The City Area Defense Command directed the Military Commands of communes and wards to coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to propagate and mobilize people to effectively prevent and combat storms and floods according to the "four on-site" motto. Equipment, means and forces were arranged, and the Forward Command Center was ready to be set up when required. Agencies and units consolidated and completed the rescue team, ensuring adequate means including: More than 200 cars, special vehicles and ambulances; nearly 30 canoes, boats, ships of all kinds and many rescue support equipment, disaster prevention and control.

The city's Military Command, in coordination with volunteer teams, distributed over 1,000 life jackets to residents in areas at high risk of flooding; deployed 26 canoes and boats, including 15 high-powered canoes, along with 10 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to transport relief supplies to isolated areas when water transport was inaccessible.

With the motto "When people need, when people are in trouble, there is the police", Avuong Commune Police have mobilized the maximum force, absolutely not being passive or surprised because the mountainous area is at risk of being isolated. For Aur village (Avuong commune), an isolated area located deep in the protective forest, the Commune Police have proactively provided early instructions on natural disaster prevention and control, maintained regular communication to grasp the situation and respond promptly. Realizing that people in the highlands mainly use domestic water from upstream rivers and streams, the Commune Police and security forces have inspected and instructed people to clean tanks and store rainwater to ensure a clean water source when heavy rains and floods damage pipelines.

In Son Tra ward, the relocation of residents in the Son Tra peninsula area is being carried out urgently. More than 20 households with 90 people in this area need to be moved to a safe location. Local authorities have disseminated information and requested residents to leave the area before 3 PM on October 22nd. They are coordinating with the Border Guard and the Son Tra Peninsula Management Board to set up checkpoints from 2 PM to prevent people from going up the mountain during the storm. The ward police have prepared rubber boats and inflatable boats to coordinate with residents and cooperatives to be ready to provide assistance in case of flooding.

The activities of the armed forces in Da Nang have demonstrated their proactiveness and determination in helping people respond and minimize damage to the complicated developments of storm No. 12.
