
Attending the ceremony were Comrade Hau A Lenh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Phan Huy Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Also attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; a delegation from Phu Ninh district (China); event sponsors; beauty queens from the Miss Vietnam 2025 competition; leaders of communes and wards in the province; and domestic and international travel companies.
The event aims to promote the beauty of the UNESCO Global Geopark Dong Van Karst Plateau, honor the cultural identity of the ethnic groups living in the area; and at the same time affirm the determination to make tourism a key economic sector of the province after the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units.
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee announced the Appeal of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province, mobilizing officials, people, armed forces, businesses, and tourists to join hands in supporting the people of South Central Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of floods and heavy rains.
Donations can be made via scanning QR codes on LED screens or by transferring funds directly to the account of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, an activity imbued with humanitarian values and spreading the spirit of "brotherly solidarity".

In her opening remarks, Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, stated that after the merger, Tuyen Quang province has a natural area of 13,795.36 km² and a population of 1,865,270 people, comprising 124 commune-level administrative units (117 communes and 7 wards). The province has 277.5 km of border with Yunnan province (China).
Ms. Ha emphasized that Tuyen Quang is a land with a special position in the nation's history, entering a new stage of development with a vast economic, cultural, and tourism space. The province brings together the identities of more than 20 ethnic groups with many national intangible cultural heritages such as Then singing - Tinh lute playing, Mong Khen dance, the coming-of-age ceremony of the Dao people, and the fire dance festival of Pa Then.
The natural landscape is outstanding, featuring the Na Hang – Lam Binh Nature Reserve, the UNESCO Global Geopark Dong Van Karst Plateau, and a rich primary forest ecosystem. This region is also known as the "Capital of the Liberation Zone – Capital of the Resistance," with significant historical sites such as Tan Trao Communal House, Na Nua Hut, and important sovereignty markers like the Lung Cu Flagpole.

Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Vice Chairperson of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province, delivered the opening remarks.
The First Congress of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, for the 2025-2030 term, identified five major goals: sustainable development; GRDP growth exceeding 8% per year; promoting digital transformation; making tourism a key economic sector; and maintaining border security. The province is implementing comprehensive solutions with strong public support.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed gratitude for the attention of the Government; the support of ministries and agencies; the coordination of localities; the companionship of businesses, artisans, and artists; as well as the support of the press and the affection of tourists and people of all ethnic groups in the province. This is an important foundation that will help Tuyen Quang continue to make breakthroughs in the coming years.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the brand name of the Tuyen Quang Province Buckwheat Flower Festival and honored tourism titles for 2025, including:
The Lo Lo Chai community tourism village has been honored by the World Tourism Organization as the "Best Community Tourism Village in the World" .
Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark receives the "Leading Cultural Destination in Asia" award.
Panhou (Thong Nguyen) Resort has been awarded the title of "Asia's Leading Green Resort" .
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded national tourism prizes to H'mong Village (best green hotel) and Pa Vi Community Tourism Village (best community tourism destination).

Immediately following the ceremony was the artistic program "The Land of Blooming Stones," consisting of three segments: The Legend of a Flower , The Land of Blooming Stones , and A Rendezvous with the Plateau . The audience enjoyed many unique cultural performances of the people of the Stone Plateau and Tuyen Quang, such as "The Enchantment of Dong Van," "Hello Tuyen Quang," "Buckwheat Flower Season," "Love Song of the Stone Plateau," and more.
The program recreates the legendary beauty of buckwheat flowers, the vibrant colors of the changing highlands, and the aspirations of the people of Tuyen Quang through songs such as "Highland Market," "That's How Highland People Are," and "Tuyen Quang Reaching New Heights."

The event not only marks a significant transformation for the province's tourism industry, affirming Tuyen Quang as an attractive, safe, and friendly destination, but also creates further motivation for the people of the province to promote solidarity, compete in socio-economic development, honor and spread unique cultural and natural values, and aim for sustainable tourism development.
This year's festival will last until the end of December 2025 at various stops and community-based cultural tourism villages in the rocky plateau communes, promising to bring visitors unique and memorable experiences.
