Speaking at the program, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Huynh Thanh Xuan, affirmed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organization always pay attention to, recognize, and promote the role of female workers, civil servants, and laborers. At the same time, they consistently maintain and develop the "Excellent in work, good at home" emulation movement among female workers, civil servants, and laborers.
Trade union levels have also proactively and creatively adapted the content of the movement to suit practical realities and specific industries. Furthermore, the movement is always closely linked to the emulation movements "Excellent Workers, Creative Workers" and "Building the Modern Vietnamese Woman".
"This further affirms that the 'Excellent in national affairs, capable in household affairs' emulation movement is not just a slogan but has become a self-driven need and aspiration for millions of Vietnamese women to shine in both family and social aspects," Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized.
According to Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, with over 23,000 grassroots trade unions and approximately 2.5 million union members, the "Excellent in National Service, Competent in Family Responsibilities" emulation movement launched by the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union has made significant progress and achieved many outstanding results.

As a result, more than 385,172 female union members and workers have been awarded the title "Excellent in National Service, Competent in Household Management" at various levels; thousands of initiatives, projects, and technical improvement and administrative reform models proposed by female workers have been effectively applied, bringing in tens of billions of dong in benefits each year. Among these, many exemplary models such as: Women 4.0 - Innovation in Digital Transformation, green, clean, and beautiful women's groups, and corners for sharing love, have created a ripple effect in agencies, units, and businesses.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan stated that the achievements in the "Excellent in National Service, Competent in Family Responsibilities" movement of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union are the result of the solidarity, persistent efforts, and aspiration of millions of female union members – those who have silently dedicated their intellect and passion to the development of their agencies, units, and businesses.

To ensure the movement continues to spread, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan suggested that the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union at all levels continue to innovate the content and methods of women's work activities in a flexible, creative, and grassroots-oriented manner; linking them with better care for the material and spiritual lives of female workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, migrant workers, and single mothers.
At the same time, we must promote digital transformation in trade union activities, creating an environment for women to develop their abilities, contribute, and grow.

During the period 2020-2025, more than 1.3 million women registered to participate in the movement, with over 1.1 million achieving the title of "Excellent in national affairs, competent in household affairs". The movement mobilized 60,594 women to study culture, 136,174 women to study politics , 111,370 women to study professional skills, and 201,675 women to participate in skills competitions to upgrade their worker ranks.

Trade union organizations at all levels have nominated 23,151 outstanding female trade union members with exemplary achievements to the Party, and have admitted 5,544 outstanding female trade union members into the Party.

On October 19th, a delegation of female workers and employees from the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union, led by Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor Nguyen Kim Loan, visited the Ton Duc Thang Museum (Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to lay flowers and offer incense in remembrance of President Ton Duc Thang.
