On October 25, the Party Committee and People's Committee of My Yen Commune, Tay Ninh Province organized a meeting between businesses and the government with the theme "Connection - Companionship - Development". More than 200 business representatives attended.

This is the first time the commune has organized a large-scale dialogue between local authorities and businesses since the merger of administrative boundaries and the operation of a two-level local government model.

Speaking at the meeting, My Yen Commune Party Secretary Le Thanh Ut said that after merging the three communes of My Yen, Phuoc Loi and Long Hiep into the new My Yen commune, the two-level government has been operating stably. The reception and settlement of administrative procedures for people and businesses have been carried out smoothly and without interruption. The team of cadres and civil servants quickly adapted, promoted a sense of responsibility, and proactively arranged work to serve more effectively.

The meeting is an opportunity for local authorities to directly listen to and receive opinions from the business community investing, producing and doing business in the area.

“We hope to receive many frank comments to make the operation of the two-level government and economic and social development more effective. Issues under the authority of the commune will be considered and resolved promptly; contents beyond the authority will be reported and recommended to the departments and the province,” Mr. Ut emphasized.

The leaders of My Yen commune said that in the coming time, the locality will continue to organize many meetings and regular dialogues with businesses to strengthen connections, share information, jointly overcome difficulties as well as promote advantages in the development process. At the same time, the leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of My Yen commune also publicly announced their personal phone numbers to receive opinions, feedback and recommendations from businesses.

Promoting the advantage of "gateway of gateway"

At the meeting, the leaders of My Yen commune gave an overview of the potential and advantages of the locality. My Yen is a key commune, located adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, with key traffic routes such as National Highway 1, Ring Road 3 and soon Ring Road 4, along with many inter-regional provincial roads.

Chairman of My Yen Commune People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung outlined the characteristics of the commune.

“Compared to the 'gateway of the gateway' of the Southwest region, My Yen commune is gradually affirming its position as one of the bright spots in attracting investment in Tay Ninh province. This advantage helps My Yen become a 'fertile land' for businesses in Tay Ninh and the Southwest region. In the coming time, we hope to continue to attract investment and accompany businesses in the development process, committed to creating the most favorable conditions for businesses to operate effectively" - Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung emphasized.

In recent times, My Yen commune has strongly attracted businesses to invest in the industrial and service sectors. Currently, there are two large industrial parks in the area, Phuc Long and Vinh Loc 2, with a total area of over 306 hectares, synchronous infrastructure, and high occupancy rate. The whole commune has nearly 900 operating businesses, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers.

The local economic structure has clearly shifted towards industry - services - urban areas, in which industry plays the main role in promoting growth and shifting the labor structure.

At the meeting, Mr. Hua Duy Luan - Chairman of Ben Luc Young Entrepreneurs Association shared that he felt the closeness and companionship of My Yen commune leaders towards the business community.

Business representatives expressed their opinions at the meeting.

“Today’s meeting is not only an opportunity for exchange, but also a bridge of understanding and trust, where the government listens to the sharing, difficulties, recommendations and suggestions from businesses. At the same time, businesses also have the opportunity to express their aspirations, proposals and commitments to work with the government to develop their homeland. Thanks to these practical meetings, the relationship between the government and businesses is increasingly closer and more substantial,” said Mr. Luan.

According to Mr. Hua Duy Luan, the Ben Luc Young Entrepreneurs Association always determines its mission to not only develop business, but also accompany and share with the locality, from supporting jobs, sharing production experience, organizing trade connection programs to participating in social security activities.

“We believe that every business, no matter how large or small, is a cell of the local economy. Sustainable development can only be achieved when businesses and the government look in the same direction, share responsibilities and aspirations for a better community,” Mr. Luan said.

Mr. Vu Thanh Tu - Vice Chairman, General Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Business Association also hopes that in the coming time, the leaders of My Yen commune will continue to promote the spirit of closeness and companionship with businesses, not only through meetings but also through concrete actions.

“The government needs to listen and absorb feedback to promptly adjust and improve policies, create a more open, transparent and favorable environment for investment, production and business, helping businesses feel secure in their long-term operations,” said Mr. Tu.

At the program, many businesses made recommendations on specific issues such as: Investing in upgrading the power system in industrial parks to ensure stable production; supporting labor recruitment; proposing that localities and provinces pay attention to land funds for building social housing and schools so that workers can settle down and their children can study conveniently. At the same time, some businesses recommended promptly removing obstacles in site clearance to speed up the progress of key projects; strengthening security and order;...

The representative of My Yen commune government recorded all opinions, directly answered some contents right at the meeting and committed to synthesize and report to competent authorities for consideration and settlement according to regulations on contents beyond their authority.

“Issues such as labor recruitment, electricity in industrial parks or social housing for workers, ... are all very practical. For example, the locality and province are paying attention to implementing social housing so that workers can feel secure in settling down and working. The commune government will accompany businesses in removing and solving difficulties” - Chairman of the People's Committee of My Yen commune Nguyen Quoc Hung affirmed.

My Yen commune has many important traffic routes passing through. This is the "gateway of the gateway" so it is very convenient for investment, development, and transportation of goods.

The program “Connect – Accompany – Develop” ended in an open and cooperative atmosphere. The opinions and suggestions from the business community will be an important basis for the My Yen commune government to continue to innovate management methods, aiming at a government serving businesses and developing the community sustainably./.

To promote the advantage of "the gateway of the gateway", the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates of the Party Committee of My Yen commune for the 2025-2030 term has set out 14 development targets in various fields; in addition, there are 4 breakthroughs including: Administrative reform; development of science - technology and innovation; mobilizing resources to invest in transport infrastructure; improving the efficiency of site clearance for key projects.
