Le Thanh Ut, Secretary of the Party Committee of My Yen commune, speaks at the meeting with businesses.
Be open and listen to grow together.
On October 25th, the Party Committee and People's Committee of My Yen commune, Tay Ninh province, organized a meeting between businesses and the government with the theme "Connecting - Partnering - Developing". More than 200 business representatives attended.
This is the first time the commune has organized a large-scale dialogue between local authorities and businesses since the administrative boundaries were merged and the two-tiered local government model was implemented.
Speaking at the meeting, the Party Secretary of My Yen commune, Le Thanh Ut, said that after the merger of the three communes of My Yen, Phuoc Loi, and Long Hiep into the new My Yen commune, the two-level government has been operating stably. The process of receiving and handling administrative procedures for citizens and businesses has been smooth and uninterrupted. The staff and civil servants have quickly adapted, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and proactively arranging their work to provide more effective service.
The meeting provided an opportunity for local authorities to directly listen to and receive feedback from the business community investing, producing, and operating in the area.
Representatives of businesses attended the meeting.
"We look forward to receiving many frank contributions to make the operation of the two-tiered government and socio-economic development more effective. Issues within the commune's jurisdiction will be considered and resolved promptly; matters exceeding its authority will be reported and recommended to relevant departments and the province," Mr. Ut emphasized.
According to the leaders of My Yen commune, in the coming time, the locality will continue to organize many regular meetings and dialogues with businesses to strengthen connections, share information, jointly resolve difficulties, and promote strengths in the development process. At the same time, the leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of My Yen commune have also publicly shared their personal phone numbers to receive feedback, suggestions, and recommendations from businesses.
Leveraging the advantage of being the "gateway to the gateway"
At the meeting, the leaders of My Yen commune provided an overview of the local potential and advantages. My Yen is a key commune, located adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, with major transportation routes such as National Highway 1, Ring Road 3, and soon Ring Road 4, along with many provincial roads connecting different regions.
Chairman of My Yen Commune People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung gave an overview of the commune's characteristics.
“Considered the ‘gateway to the gateway’ of the Southwest region, My Yen commune is increasingly asserting its position as one of the bright spots for investment attraction in Tay Ninh province. This advantage makes My Yen a ‘favorable place’ for businesses in Tay Ninh and the Southwest region. In the coming time, we hope to continue attracting investment and accompanying businesses in their development process, committing to creating the most favorable conditions for businesses to operate effectively,” emphasized Nguyen Quoc Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of My Yen commune.
In recent years, My Yen commune has strongly attracted businesses to invest in the industrial and service sectors. Currently, there are two large industrial parks in the area, Phuc Long and Vinh Loc 2, with a total area of over 306 hectares, complete infrastructure, and a high occupancy rate. The entire commune has nearly 900 operating businesses, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers.
The local economic structure has clearly shifted towards industry – services – urbanization, with industry playing the main driving role in promoting growth and labor structure transformation.
The government is committed to supporting you.
At the meeting, Mr. Hua Duy Luan – Chairman of the Ben Luc Young Entrepreneurs Association – shared that he felt the closeness and supportive spirit of the My Yen commune leaders towards the business community.
Business representatives expressed their opinions at the meeting.
“Today’s meeting is not only an opportunity for interaction, but also a bridge of understanding and trust, where the government listens to the concerns, difficulties, suggestions, and ideas from businesses. At the same time, businesses also have the opportunity to express their aspirations, proposals, and commitments to work with the government to build a developed homeland. Thanks to these practical meetings, the relationship between the government and businesses is becoming closer and more substantive,” Mr. Luan said.
According to Mr. Hua Duy Luan, the Ben Luc Young Entrepreneurs Association has always defined its mission not only as developing businesses, but also as accompanying and sharing with the local community, from supporting jobs, sharing production experiences, organizing trade networking programs to participating in social welfare activities.
Mr. Hua Duy Luan - Chairman of the Ben Luc Young Entrepreneurs Association - expressed his opinion at the meeting.
"We believe that every business, regardless of size, is a cell of the local economy. Sustainable development can only be achieved when businesses and the government look in the same direction, share responsibilities, and aspire to a better community," Mr. Luan expressed.
Mr. Vu Thanh Tu – Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Business Association – also expressed his hope that in the future, the leaders of My Yen commune will continue to promote a spirit of closeness and cooperation with businesses, not only through meetings but also through concrete actions.
"The government needs to listen to and incorporate feedback to promptly adjust and improve policies, creating a more open, transparent, and favorable environment for investment, production, and business, helping businesses feel secure in operating in the long term," Mr. Tú said.
Business representatives expressed their opinions at the meeting.
At the program, many businesses made specific recommendations such as: investing in upgrading the electricity system in industrial parks to ensure stable production; supporting labor recruitment; proposing that localities and provinces pay attention to land allocation for the construction of social housing and schools so that workers can settle down and their children can study conveniently. At the same time, some businesses requested the prompt removal of obstacles in land clearance to accelerate the progress of key projects; and strengthening security and order.
Representatives of the My Yen commune government acknowledged all opinions, directly answered some questions at the meeting, and committed to compiling and reporting to the competent authorities for consideration and resolution of issues beyond their jurisdiction.
“Issues such as labor recruitment, electricity in industrial zones, and social housing for workers are all very practical. For example, regarding social housing, the local and provincial authorities are focusing on implementing projects to ensure that workers can settle down and have stable jobs. The commune government will work alongside businesses in resolving difficulties,” affirmed Nguyen Quoc Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of My Yen Commune.
My Yen commune has many major transportation routes running through it. It is the "gateway of gateways," making it very convenient for investment, development, and goods transportation.
The "Connect - Partner - Develop" program concluded in an open and cooperative atmosphere. The opinions and suggestions from the business community will serve as an important foundation for the My Yen commune government to continue innovating its management methods, aiming towards a government that serves businesses and promotes sustainable community development.
To capitalize on its advantage as the "gateway to the gateway," the Resolution of the Party Congress of My Yen Commune for the 2025-2030 term has set out 14 development targets in various fields; in addition, there are 4 breakthroughs including: administrative reform; development of science and technology and innovation; mobilization of resources for investment in transportation infrastructure; and improving the efficiency of land clearance for key projects. |
