U22 Vietnam will participate in the CFA Panda Cup 2025, taking place in Chengdu (China) from November 12 to 18. This is an important tournament in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games next December.

At the tournament, U22 Vietnam will face three strong Asian teams: host U22 China, U22 Korea and U22 Uzbekistan. Notably, we will meet the host team in the opening match on November 12.

Next, Viktor Le and his teammates will meet U22 Uzbekistan (November 15) and U22 Korea (November 18).

This is considered a high-quality training session as the opponents are all highly rated at the continental youth football level. Chinese media also commented that this is the year the tournament has the highest professional quality ever.

Panda Cup 2025 is a pivotal tournament for the coaching staff to shape the playing style for U22 Vietnam towards the goal of conquering the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games this coming December in Thailand.

According to the plan, the whole team will continuously gather from the FIFA Days in November until the start of the 33rd SEA Games. Previously, in October, U22 Vietnam had a training trip in the UAE and played two friendly matches with U22 Qatar.
