The Vietnamese national team experienced some unexpected "spices" after their heavy 0-4 defeat against Nam Dinh FC on September 4th, specifically against the V-League champions' all-foreign-player squad. In the first half, the team, consisting of key players like Duy Manh, Hoang Duc, Thanh Chung, Tien Linh, Tien Anh, Tuan Hai, etc., played evenly. Their familiar 3-4-3 formation operated smoothly and with few errors for most of the first 45 minutes, before conceding 0-1 from a set piece at the end of the first half. In the second half, the Vietnamese team almost completely changed their lineup, with a defense featuring three new center-backs: Van Toi, Quang Kiet (only 18 years old), and Hoang Phuc, along with a brand-new attack, which resulted in three more goals conceded. It's also worth noting that the opposing team's players were very determined to play well to impress the Nam Dinh FC coaching staff. In particular, the group of foreign players who were "kept under wraps" for the AFC Champions League and the Southeast Asian Club Championship played with great passion after three rounds of watching their counterparts compete in the V-League from the stands.

The Vietnamese team faced many difficulties when confronting the foreign players of Nam Dinh Club.

In this afternoon's match against CAHN FC, Coach Dinh Hong Vinh's team will no longer face the intense physical challenge of having to compete against foreign players in every position. Instead, the Vietnamese national team will experience the interesting mix of domestic and foreign players under Coach Mano Polking. CAHN FC will be without their best domestic players such as Quang Hai, Van Do, Viet Anh (injured) or Quang Vinh (playing for the Vietnamese national team), but they still have Thanh Long, Dinh Trong, Nguyen Filip, Van Duc… In particular, CAHN FC will bring the most exciting attacking style of play in the V-League, a trademark of Coach Polking, thanks to their highly skilled foreign players such as Leo Artur, Alan, Gomes, Mauk, Hugo… It's also worth noting that in friendly matches against domestic clubs, the Vietnamese national team often has to balance experimentation with resting key players. Because the young players of the club are eager to be called up to the national team, they will play with extreme passion to prove themselves, sometimes leading to excessive physical contact. Meanwhile, experienced players who are not included in this training camp, such as Nguyen Filip, Thanh Long, Van Duc, etc., are very eager to showcase their football skills when facing the Vietnamese national team. This friendly match will therefore be very interesting.
Coach Dinh Hong Vinh is expected to make several changes to the starting lineup. Instead of fielding two vastly different teams, the Vietnamese national team will mix experienced players with those who have rarely or never been called up before. Among these will be versatile players who will be tested in multiple positions, such as Tuan Tai (left center-back, left-back), Viet Hung (central midfielder, left-back), Du Hoc (right-back, right midfielder)... Coach Vinh will also use this opportunity to further assess the effectiveness of the Hoang Duc vs. Duc Chien partnership, alongside another candidate, Hoang Anh, in midfield.
