The flight from Hanoi landed at Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 10:15 AM, with the entire team receiving maximum support under the priority procedures for sports delegations participating in the Games. Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Tran Anh Tu, was present at the airport to personally welcome and encourage Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team.
Before departing, the team underwent a month of training in Ho Chi Minh City, followed by an important training camp in Hangzhou (China). Two friendly matches against the Chinese women's futsal team provided an opportunity for the coaching staff to review technical skills, refine tactics, and assess the performance of each player before finalizing the list of 14 players for the SEA Games 33.
Head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said the team's morale is at its best. Despite the squad having many players making their SEA Games debut, he believes in their effort, desire to perform, and team spirit. "We hope the fans will continue to support and cheer us on. That's a great source of motivation that will help the whole team perform better," Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang shared.

The Vietnamese women's futsal team is the third of four Vietnamese teams to participate in the football and futsal events at the 33rd SEA Games. Prior to this, the U22 Vietnam team and the national women's team traveled to Bangkok on December 1st and 2nd. In their opening matches, U22 Vietnam defeated U22 Laos 2-1, while the Vietnamese women's team beat Malaysia 7-0 before losing to the Philippines 0-1.
According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will play their opening match against Indonesia on December 12th at the Bangkok University Arena in Thonburi. The venue is approximately a 40-minute drive from the team's accommodation in Nonthaburi, provided traffic conditions are favorable.
The team's goal is to approach the tournament step by step, prioritizing focused performance in the group stage. If they achieve this first objective, the coaching staff and players will have a stronger foundation to aim for the highest possible results at the SEA Games 33.
