The Vietnamese women's team secured a crucial 2-0 victory against Myanmar to advance to the semi-finals of the women's football tournament. Immediately after the match, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan met with the entire team, offering congratulations and commending their tenacious fighting spirit.
On behalf of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee, Mr. Tuan decided to award a bonus of 700 million VND to the entire women's team. The VFF President also emphasized that the victory was only the first step and urged the entire team to maintain the highest level of focus for the upcoming semi-final match.
At the same time, the Vietnam U22 team continued to bring joy by defeating Malaysia U22 2-0 to advance to the semi-finals of the men's football tournament. After the match, VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu, also the head of the Vietnam U22 delegation at the SEA Games 33, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Executive Board, praised the fighting spirit of the entire team. Highly appreciating the performance and composure of the young players, the VFF awarded the Vietnam U22 team a motivational bonus of 600 million VND.
The fact that VFF leaders were present to encourage both teams at the stadium shows close support before this crucial stage. Both the women's team and the U22 men's team have the opportunity to advance further, and timely bonuses are expected to help the players maintain their fighting spirit amidst a packed schedule and intense competitive pressure.
Two victories on the same day, along with a total prize money of 1.3 billion VND , are a special encouragement, further motivating Vietnamese football to aim for higher goals at the SEA Games 33.
