(NLĐO) - Tran Tien Thinh and his father-in-law resorted to assaulting a motorcyclist over a minor disagreement.

On January 13th, the Binh Thanh District Police (Ho Chi Minh City) issued an arrest warrant and an emergency detention order for Tran Tien Thinh (33 years old, residing in Thu Duc City) and Thai Hoang Phuong (57 years old, Thinh's father-in-law) to investigate their involvement in disturbing public order and intentionally causing injury.

According to the police, at 10:30 PM on January 11th, due to traffic congestion, while traveling from Kinh Bridge towards Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street in Ward 26, Mr. HTM (24 years old, residing in Binh Thanh district) drove his motorbike into the opposite lane, leading to a conflict with Thinh and his son who were in a car.
Phuong and Thinh used a metal stick to chase and beat Mr. M. Only when people intervened did Thinh and Phuong get into their car and leave.
The police in Binh Thanh district launched an investigation, arrested all those involved, and summoned them for questioning.
At the police station, Thinh and Phuong confessed to all of their crimes as described above, expressing remorse and regret for their actions.
Since the beginning of 2025 alone, the Ho Chi Minh City Police have investigated numerous cases of public disorder, intentional injury, or property damage stemming from clashes and conflicts during traffic, daily activities, or entertainment.
