Diogo Dalot became the center of attention in the final minutes when he received two consecutive yellow cards in just 5 seconds for his reaction to the referee. However, Daily Mail still gave the Portuguese defender a score of 8 - the highest score for a player in the match between Liverpool and Man Utd.
Dalot was impressive, blocking Luis Diaz from cutting across the penalty area several times. He also made things difficult for Tsimikas and failed to deliver many notable crosses. Other defenders in the Man Utd squad also received high marks.
Andre Onana was rated 7.5 with many excellent flying moves and some good counter-attacking kicks. Raphael Varane showed impressive command of the defense. He did not have to make any tackles but caused many problems for Liverpool's strikers. Varane received 7.5 points. Evans and Shaw played with concentration and were rated 7 points.
The highest rated midfielder on the Man Utd side was Kobbie Mainoo. The 18-year-old star played well, showed incredible confidence and received 7 points. Amrabat, Antony and McTomminay received 6.5 points. Garnacho and Hojlund did not leave their mark, accepting a score of 6.5.
Diogo Dalot was rated the highest.
In contrast to Man Utd's defense is Liverpool's attack. Darwin Nunez received 5 points - the lowest score. He played poorly and continuously mishandled the ball. Salah got 7 points thanks to his efforts to create for his teammates. Luis Diaz was "locked down" by Dalot and only received 6 points.
Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo were rated 6 - 5.5 and 5.5 points respectively. They played poorly and could not make a difference against Man Utd's patchwork midfield. Konate received 6.5 points and Van Dijk received 6 points. There is not much to say about Liverpool's central defenders because Man Utd's attack is too weak.
Alexander-Arnold received 7.5 points - the highest on Liverpool's side. He contributed a lot to the overall play. On the opposite flank, left-back Tsimikas received 6.5 points - the same as goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
In a match that showed good personnel arrangement, Erik ten Hag was given 8 points. Coach Klopp made substitutions but they were ineffective so he only received 6 points.
