Caring for the disadvantaged

Local authorities, associations and organizations have many activities to visit and give gifts to people with disabilities.

In recent times, the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights has effectively implemented many programs to support people with disabilities, orphans and children in difficult circumstances.

Educational support activities are regularly carried out through programs such as “Belief for Children” and “Helping Poor Students Overcome Difficulties to Succeed”. Hundreds of students have received scholarships worth 5-6.3 million VND/school year until they complete high school.

In addition, the Association also mobilized sponsors to award scholarships to 360 students in difficult circumstances, gave bicycles to 70 students with a total cost of more than 1.6 billion VND, and organized activities and gave gifts at school to 430 students, with a total value of nearly 900 million VND.

Livelihood support activities play an important role in helping disadvantaged people stabilize their lives, develop their abilities, confidently rise up and gradually integrate and contribute positively to the community. Therefore, the Association has provided capital support to 24 people with disabilities with an amount of 230 million VND; coordinated online sales training for 61 people with disabilities and provided equipment support for 20 students worth 140 million VND.

Thanks to promoting socialization, in the period of 2021-2025, the Association has mobilized more than 8.9 billion VND to care for people with disabilities and disadvantaged children in the area.

Through the activities of the Association, together with the participation of local authorities at all levels and the cooperation of the whole society, many disadvantaged people have overcome difficulties and promoted their own capacity.

Disadvantaged people in Quang Son and Van Lang communes were supported with gifts worth 2 million VND/gift.

A typical example is Ms. Le Thi Dan Anh, in Thanh Xuyen 4 residential group, Trung Thanh ward, who is physically disabled but always studies hard, has been an excellent student for many years and has participated in an IT competition in Dubai (India). Ms. Dan Anh is currently working in the field of AI data at AI WORKX Company, Hanoi city.

Mr. Vu Van Mao, Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights, said: The Association has implemented synchronous support programs on health , education, and livelihoods, aiming to help them gradually improve their lives and integrate into the community, contributing to building a fair and humane society. The goal is to help each disabled person, orphan or disadvantaged person live a full life, have the opportunity to be independent and develop their abilities.

Thanks to their own continuous efforts and the timely care and support of the Association, the government and the whole society, many disadvantaged people have overcome difficulties and confidently affirmed their values and dreams.
