Nguyen Phu Hong Phuc is a first-year accounting student at Dong Nai University of Technology. In his very first participation in the Vietnam Student Talent Competition, he became one of the most outstanding contestants.

The arrival of this 22-year-old student has brought a breath of fresh air to the playing style of the team representing the Southeast region. Wearing the captain's armband, Hong Phuc is the most important "spark" in the team's attack. Many consider him a "small but mighty" player this season, impressing with his technical skills, agility, and extremely high ability to create breakthroughs.

The strength of the Dong Nai University of Technology team in this year's tournament lies in its explosive attack, which was clearly demonstrated in the Ho Chi Minh City regional qualifiers. Of the team's 18 goals scored in 4 qualifying matches, Hong Phuc contributed 6, becoming the main striker that helped his team qualify for the finals. Entering the competition in Nha Trang, he continued to affirm his class as a player who had been trained at the NutiFood JMG Football Academy since childhood. In the opening match against the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education team, Hong Phuc contributed 1 goal and 1 assist, playing a major role in his team's 2-0 victory. In particular, his goal scored directly from a corner kick stunned the entire stadium.

After three matches for the Dong Nai University of Technology team in the finals, Nguyen Phu Hong Phuc won the "Man of the Match" award twice in a row. This is a well-deserved reward for the tireless running and intelligent footballing mindset of this talented number 10. Sharing with reporters, Hong Phuc always humbly said: "I am very happy to receive individual awards, but this is the result of the whole team's efforts. With the coach's tactical guidance and my teammates' support, I was able to achieve this." Hong Phuc's calmness and team spirit are the factors that earned him the trust to become captain, even though he only joined the Dong Nai University of Technology team this season.

From a professional perspective, head coach Le Huu Phat has always trusted Hong Phuc's leadership abilities. Speaking about his student, Coach Phat shared: "Hong Phuc's only limitation is his small stature. Otherwise, he possesses almost all the qualities of a professional player. And in his daily life, Hong Phuc is very conscientious, so when he's on the field, other players respect him." The head coach of the Dong Nai University of Technology team commented on the number 10's playing style: "Phuc plays very cleverly and intelligently. Although he has good individual technique, Phuc doesn't overuse it, but often cooperates with his teammates." It is this combination of good individual skills and sharp tactical thinking that has made Hong Phuc an irreplaceable link in the team's lineup.

Thanks to the outstanding performance of Nguyen Phu Hong Phuc and the team spirit of the entire squad, Dong Nai University of Technology is leaving its mark professionally. Coach Le Huu Phat and his team have now advanced to the quarterfinals with an undefeated record in Group B, ranking above even the extremely strong opponent, the University of Water Resources.
