The granddaughter of musician Trịnh Công Sơn no longer feels pressured by her background.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Thien said that the greatest connection between him and his uncle - musician Trinh Cong Son - is their shared passion and innocence when it comes to music , as well as their harmonious attitude towards life.

The Thien is the son of Mrs. Trinh Vinh Trinh (sister of the late musician Trinh Cong Son). The full name of The Thien is Tran The The Thien, given to him by Trinh Cong Son himself, meaning "a celestial object in the earthly realm".

After a period of preparation, The Thien released his album "Tran The" on the evening of December 5th. By naming the album after his real name, the Gen Z singer partly wanted to express his gratitude to his uncle.

The launch event, held in Ho Chi Minh City, was attended by approximately 500 guests, including The Thien's parents and older brother, musician Nhat The. Born into a family with a father from Hanoi and a mother from Hue, The Thien developed a meticulous nature from a young age, resulting in music that is full of unique and creative elements and colors.

The album consists of 10 songs, including classic compositions by musician Trịnh Công Sơn such as "Diễm xưa" and "Hồn trai" (using a sample of the song " Một cõi đi về," featuring a vocal contribution from Trịnh Vĩnh Trinh - Thể Thiên's mother).

The Thien shared that he used to feel pressured by the shadow of musician Trinh Cong Son, but he has gradually overcome that. Now he feels extremely proud of his background.

The Gen Z singer said that he couldn't appreciate Trinh Cong Son's music before, but later, after having more life experiences and being allowed by his mother to sing Trinh Cong Son's songs in his own way, he felt a strong connection to the artist's music.

The Thien said the album reflects his own personality and doesn't intentionally try to be different to make the audience feel unique. As a long-time student of Meritorious Artist Minh Hue, he is confident in his singing voice compared to other Gen Z singers on the market today.
