On the evening of November 11th, a factory located in an alley on Be Van Cam Street (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) caught fire, with bright red flames engulfing the entire building and destroying much property. Approximately 100 police officers were dispatched to extinguish the blaze.
Around 7 PM on November 11th, smoke and flames erupted from a row of warehouses in an alley on Be Van Cam Street, Tan Kien Ward (near Tan Thuan 1 Bridge). Local residents and factory workers attempted to extinguish the fire, but without success. The blaze quickly intensified, with a column of smoke rising dozens of meters high, visible from several kilometers away.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department dispatched approximately 100 officers and soldiers along with numerous firefighting vehicles to the scene, approaching the fire from multiple directions and spraying water onto the blaze. Two boats from the riverine force were also mobilized to help extinguish the fire. Due to the intense heat and thick smoke emanating from the fire, firefighting efforts were extremely difficult.
By 9:50 PM on the same day, authorities had largely brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to the surrounding area. Initial assessments indicate the warehouse, approximately 17,000 square meters in size, contained many flammable materials such as office equipment (computers), electronic devices, confectionery, bottled water, cardboard boxes, etc., causing the fire to intensify and burn down about 2,000 square meters. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties and approximately 15,000 square meters of the company's remaining area were preserved.
