Many days after the controversy surrounding the misleading advertisement for Kera vegetable candy, beauty queen Thùy Tiên has finally issued an apology.

Since the launch of Kera vegetable candy (Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company), along with close friends like Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du Muc, beauty queen Thuy Tien has also been one of the extremely important factors contributing to the widespread fame of this product.

Heartfelt advertising posts with tens of thousands of interactions, along with explosive live streams during prime time, helped Miss Thuy Tien and her friends attract thousands of consumers to the product. It's safe to say that all promotional events and product introductions for Kera vegetable candy were incomplete without the presence of the most beloved beauty queen in the Golden Lotus family.

However, when the controversy surrounding the misleading advertising of Kera vegetable candy erupted, beauty queen Thuy Tien mysteriously "disappeared." Meanwhile, her collaborator, Quang Linh Vlogs, had to hastily post an apology.

So, people were once again buzzing with speculation. Some thought that the reason Miss Thuy Tien suddenly went silent was because she was busy "taking care" of another close friend in Paris (Miss Thuy Tien has become a "brand ambassador" for Dior).

Others suggested that this inexplicable silence could be the beginning of some extremely shocking action in the future. Indeed, after a series of heated online calls, on the night of March 6th, the Facebook page of beauty queen Thùy Tiên, with 2.6 million followers, officially posted an apology regarding the controversy surrounding the Kera vegetable candy product.

Regardless of the content, Miss Thuy Tien's post immediately attracted the attention of netizens because of the very special timing of its appearance.

In contrast to live streams held during prime time, Miss Thuy Tien's apology was sent to the online community at midnight – a time when many people have already gone to sleep and interaction has significantly decreased. So what prompted Thuy Tien to post an apology in the middle of the night?

Regarding this matter, public opinion has once again been divided. Some believe that Miss Thuy Tien only apologized now because she had just finished her performance in Paris for Dior and therefore had time to reflect on the recent controversy.

However, some also argue that Thuy Tien had to post her apology in the middle of the night because of the "heat" surrounding the authorities' decision regarding the Kera vegetable candy brand.

In fact, on the afternoon of March 6th, the Food Safety Department issued a document requesting relevant agencies to investigate the advertising of Kera vegetable candy by several celebrities and social influencers on some websites, Facebook, and TikTok, which violated regulations.

The inspection notice also mentioned Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company (the distributor) and ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company (the manufacturer) of the Kera vegetable candy product. When the inspections are conducted, Miss Thuy Tien certainly cannot remain uninvolved. Therefore, Miss Thuy Tien's public apology is a timely action, and can even be considered an effective temporary "damage control" against the calls from the online community.

There's an old folk saying, "Only when the house is on fire do the rats come out," implying that only during a crisis do things that were carefully and discreetly hidden come to light. After the "fire" involving the Kera vegetable candy product, consumers finally saw Miss Thuy Tien appear to post an apology.

Was she manipulated by the producers because she was "naive"?

Returning to Miss Thuy Tien's post, besides apologizing for causing "concern and worry" to users, the beauty queen from Sen Vang also affirmed that all the information she shared was based on information provided by the factory. She stated that this was a valuable lesson for her.

When Miss Thuy Tien issued her apology, many people expressed sympathy in the comments. Some suggested that Miss Thuy Tien may have been given misleading information by the product manufacturer, leading to incorrect product promotion and advertising.

However, many people also argue that Miss Thuy Tien's blaming the factory is unacceptable. Given her level of education and understanding, how could Miss Thuy Tien possibly be so easily manipulated by a factory?

Furthermore, with a team of highly professional assistants constantly by Miss Thuy Tien's side, surely no one would fail to notice the false information being disseminated about the product. Before advertising the product, didn't Thuy Tien and her associates thoroughly research the product's uses and quality?

Miss Thuy Tien's apology certainly won't satisfy the public. After all, Thuy Tien is a celebrity, so her words and actions will greatly influence consumer trends and behavior.

Is it the responsible thing for a celebrity to do when advertising a product without fully understanding its nature? Suppose celebrities like Thuy Tien disregarded the law and made false claims about product quality in their advertisements; how much harm would consumers suffer?

Moreover, the product that Thuy Tien is promoting is food, which belongs to the category of goods that directly impact the health of consumers.

Instead of blaming the manufacturer, I believe that Miss Thuy Tien herself and her team need to seriously consider their role and responsibility in communicating and promoting products to the public and consumers. We cannot allow a repeat of the current situation where false advertising is followed by online apologies.

On March 6th, the Food Safety Department issued a document requesting the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Department to urgently inspect the operations of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company (located in the city) regarding the production, declaration, and advertising conditions of its Kera vegetable candy product.

At the same time, strictly handle any violations (if any) in accordance with the law, and publicize the inspection results through mass media.

The Food Safety Department also requested the Dak Lak Department of Health to urgently direct an inspection of ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company (located in Dak Lak province) regarding its compliance with production conditions for Kera vegetable candy products, and whether the production of "Kera vegetable candy" on the licensed production lines complies with regulations.

At the same time, strictly handle any violations (if any) in accordance with the law and announce the results through mass media.
