AI Mode is Google's most powerful search mode yet. Powered by a customized version of Gemini 2.5, Google Search AI Mode is designed for complex queries where users often have to perform multiple searches.

The tool can generate detailed, comprehensive, and visual answers, and provide links to authoritative web sources for users to explore further.

To use it, users just need to go to google.com and select AI mode and then enter the question as usual. However, the feature is being deployed gradually and is expected to be completed within the week.

For example, users who want to learn about UNESCO-recognized heritage sites in Vietnam, or the best current waterproof phone models can ask long questions and Google will still understand them.

Not just limited to text, AI Mode also supports multiple modalities, allowing users to ask questions using voice, images, or uploaded photos. For example, you can take a photo of the menu and ask: “Which of these dishes is vegetarian?”

According to Google, AI Mode still builds on Google Search's core quality assessment and ranking systems, and uses a new approach to improve the reliability of results. In cases where information is not accurate enough, users will see a list of traditional search results.

Google emphasized that while AI answers may not be perfect, the company is “committed to continuous improvement to bring a more useful, accurate and natural search experience to Vietnamese users.”

With Vietnamese language support, Google expects AI Mode to help users easily express complex questions in natural language, and at the same time, access the most relevant content on the web more quickly, from comparing, planning to exploring the world around them.
