Many young people say that choosing to wake up early to paddleboard is not only for health benefits but also to enjoy the relaxing feeling amidst the fresh sea and sky.

Ms. My Linh (residing in Hoa Khanh ward) shared: “The moment the sun gradually rises over the sea is very beautiful and brings a relaxing feeling. Although I have paddled SUP many times, each experience brings a new and exciting feeling. The air is very cool in the morning, the sea is calm, so paddling SUP while watching the sunrise makes me feel comfortable and more energetic for the new day.”

Foreign tourists are excited to experience paddleboarding (SUP) on the sea in Da Nang.

SUP paddling activities only take place when the weather is favorable and the sea is calm. In case of strong winds, rough seas, or bad weather, activities will be temporarily suspended and will only resume when safety conditions are guaranteed.

The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourist beaches advises residents and tourists to absolutely refrain from paddleboarding (SUP) in bad weather, rough seas, or strong winds. During participation, tourists should wear life jackets, secure their leg harnesses, and only paddleboard in designated areas permitted for this activity; it is recommended to choose SUP rental companies that ensure safety and provide instructors to minimize risks.

To ensure safety, SUP rental service providers require tourists to wear life jackets and participate in basic paddling training before entering the water.

Mr. Pham Diep, the owner of a SUP rental service in Da Nang, said that tourists participating in SUP paddling are fully equipped with life jackets, paddles, and boards that meet safety standards. The activity area is limited to a distance of about 350-450m from the shore to ensure the safety of the players.
