On April 27, the State-level rehearsal of the military parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification took place in a solemn and heroic atmosphere on Le Duan Street (District 1) and several neighboring streets.
This is the first time the training session took place during the day with the participation of many fighter jets and helicopters flying flags before the official parade took place on the morning of April 30.

Amidst the jubilant atmosphere of the nation, from the previous evening (April 26), tens of thousands of people gathered on the streets where the parade blocks passed.
Meanwhile, standing in the Presidential Suite of a 5-star hotel on Nguyen Hue Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), Tran Vu Tra My (22 years old, student at RMIT University) could not help but be moved when she witnessed the eye-catching performance of helicopters and fighter jets in the sky of the city.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Tra My said that this is a very special occasion that only happens once every 50 years, so the whole family wants to go together to watch the most complete rehearsal. My's grandmother is 85 years old and has limited health but still wants to participate with her children and grandchildren.
For health reasons and knowing that she could not stand outside for too long, the 22-year-old girl's family decided to book a room on a high floor of the hotel with a direct view of Nguyen Hue walking street for easy monitoring.
The hotel reservation was made just a day in advance, so My was quite stressed. That was the time when the central hotels, especially the rooms with a good view to watch the rehearsal, were all fully booked.

Luckily, when contacting Rex Hotel, this accommodation facility only had one Presidential Suite left, so the 22-year-old girl's family decided to book it right away. The rental price at this time is about 30 million VND.
For My, this was a price well worth the special experience. Her family watched the rehearsal in the comfort of privacy, enjoying the luxurious amenities of the hotel.
Early in the morning of April 27, the whole family woke up together to enjoy snacks and looked down Nguyen Hue Street to watch each parade pass by.

"The moment I saw the uniformed parades and the national flag fluttering in the bustling atmosphere filling the streets made me feel proud. It was also gratitude to the previous generations who sacrificed their blood so that young people like us could enjoy peace and happiness," My shared.
According to the reporter's investigation, since the beginning of April, many hotels in Ho Chi Minh City have been "full of rooms" due to the sudden increase in the number of guests. Especially during the 5-day holiday of April 30 - May 1, the city also organized many activities to celebrate the great festival, so all accommodation establishments reported full rooms.
Specifically, businesses in the 4-star and 5-star segments on the streets where the parade passed through such as Le Duan, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Dien Bien Phu, Le Loi, and Ton Duc Thang had no vacancies from April 27 to May 1.
Previously, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that hotels in the city center including District 1, District 4 and Nha Rong Wharf area where many art performances, light festivals, and cuisine are concentrated, all achieved room occupancy rates of 95% to 100%.
However, 3-star and 5-star accommodations in the surrounding area still have available rooms, ready to welcome residents and tourists to relax during their tour to explore Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the April 30 holiday.
