What is garlic flower?
The heavy rain in early July made Ms. Thuy Mai (Thanh Xuan, Hanoi ) - a person who is sensitive to the weather - feel lethargic and depressed. Remembering her mother's advice, she called an agricultural agent to buy a bunch of garlic shoots to eat to relieve the cold - even though she knew that in early autumn there were only frozen garlic shoots, while garlic grown in the summer still had shoots, was harder to eat and had less essential oil.
Back home, she prepared the garlic shoots and quickly stir-fried them with a pinch of sesame oil and a little pink salt. Immediately, the aroma spread throughout the kitchen and the house became warm, her spirit was relieved. Just a few garlic shoots like a simple vegetable dish drove away the coldness and fatigue in her body, bringing back the warmth of spirit and the nourishment of heaven and earth.
The next afternoon, Ms. Thuy Mai stir-fried the remaining garlic shoots. So, after 2 meals of garlic shoots, she felt the fresh air again, the fatigue, sadness, coldness disappeared... So there, a simple dish that warms the body, purifies the living space, and increases the warm yang energy, enough to soothe people's hearts in the 7th lunar month.

Best dish: Garlic sprouts with eggs and bacon
Ingredient
1 bunch of garlic stems (about 10–12 stalks)
2 eggs
3 slices bacon.
A little cooking oil, salt, pepper, soy sauce (optional)
Making
Wash the stem, cut into 5 cm pieces.
Beat eggs lightly with a little salt and pepper.
Frying bacon will release a bit of fat with a very characteristic aroma, slightly crispy, helping to enhance the flavor of the garlic. If you don't have bacon, replace it with thinly sliced fresh pork belly, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and sliced Chinese sausage (if you want more sweetness).
Add garlic shoots and stir quickly, then add eggs and mix well until cooked, eggs are soft and shoots are still crispy.
Add a little more soy sauce (if you like), turn off the heat, sprinkle with ground pepper.
This dish has a fatty, aromatic, slightly spicy taste, and a bright green color. Many people consider it a specialty vegetable dish during the changing seasons. Garlic shoots grow in abundance and are most delicious, rich in nutrients, and most nutritious in late spring - early summer (February - April) in the North. In autumn, garlic shoots are available in some areas where garlic is sown early, or planted in the summer, but are less abundant and harder. In winter, garlic bulbs are harvested - at this time the shoots are old, not delicious, but still contain essential oils and nutrients.

Who should not eat garlic shoots?
This year's seventh lunar month coincides with Independence Day, when many people go out, attend rehearsals, and parades in the sometimes rainy, sometimes sunny weather. Therefore, in addition to bringing roasted garlic and roasted ginger to prevent colds, you should eat dishes with spicy, warm, and strong garlic stems to increase the body's yang energy.
However, people with stomach pain, duodenal ulcers, low blood pressure, people taking anticoagulants, people with a hot body, prone to acne, diarrhea, pregnant women in the first 3 months, children under 1 year old... should not eat raw, uncooked garlic shoots. If you want to eat garlic shoots and dishes with garlic, you need to stir-fry, roast, or add to warm porridge, warm soup, eat after the main meal, do not eat when hungry and listen to your body while eating, if there is no problem, eat well.
Children in particular should not use garlic orally. Garlic oil can only be applied to the skin if needed to keep warm or reduce cough (be sure to test first to avoid allergies).
