In preparation for the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2 (event A80), two general training sessions chaired by the Ministry of National Defense and two preliminary and final rehearsals at the state level took place at Ba Dinh Square.

During the general training, preliminary and final rehearsals, security and order are ensured thanks to the 24/7 presence of police and military officers on all the streets and Ba Dinh Square.

Among the security forces, there is a special reconnaissance force of General Department II (Ministry of National Defense), with masked uniforms, attracting the attention of many people.

According to Thanh Nien 's observation , this force is always present whenever four foreign military blocs appear, such as China, Russia, Laos and Cambodia.

Before foreign military blocs passed through Ba Dinh Square, this security force stood guard near the area where they practiced.

When foreign military blocs entered Ba Dinh Square, these security forces lined up at the exit of Hung Vuong Street, then joined the group, creating a two-layer protection with the military security forces.
