
Colonel Luong Dinh Chung, Political Commissar of Military Region 5, requested that forces continue to closely monitor the flood situation in the area.
According to the agency's summary report, as of 9 PM on October 27th, 42 communes and wards in Da Nang City were flooded, and authorities had evacuated 622 households/2402 people. In Quang Ngai province, 7 communes and wards were flooded, and local authorities evacuated 106 households/248 people.
During this period of heavy rain and flooding, six people went missing in the military district, and the floods directly affected 728 households/2,650 people.
Military Region 5 has directed the Military Command of Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province to mobilize local forces and resources to urgently and promptly rescue people in the flood-stricken areas.
In addition, the Military Region Command organized the establishment of 5 working groups, led by the Commander and relevant agencies, to travel to various locations in the two provinces and cities; coordinating with local Party committees and authorities to inspect and provide guidance on flood and landslide prevention.

Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Luong Dinh Chung, Political Commissar of Military Region 5, instructed the forces to continue closely monitoring the situation, implementing plans to help people reroute traffic, move people and property from flooded areas to safe places, and minimize losses of life, vehicles, and property.
In addition, Colonel Luong Dinh Chung requested that the Military Region agencies closely coordinate with the forces of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security in the area, ready to mobilize forces and equipment according to plan to support the locality, and to do a good job of disseminating information and reporting on the results of flood prevention and control in the area.
Ensure timely provision of personnel, equipment, and technical logistics, and promote the "four on-the-spot" principle in flood and landslide prevention and control. Coordinate with forces to transport and supply food and relief to people in isolated and cut-off areas.

Search and rescue operations are underway for people affected by floods and heavy rain in Nui Thanh commune.
On October 27th, Military Region 5 established a Forward Command Post for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue in Tra My commune, Da Nang city, with the participation and support of thousands of officers and soldiers from the Army, Police, and commune-level disaster prevention and control task forces.
On October 27th, officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 conducted field surveys of critical flood and landslide-prone areas in the mountainous southern region of Da Nang. They also organized forces to open access routes to isolated residential areas in hamlets 3, 4, and 5 of Tra Leng commune. They directed units to deploy communication systems to ensure the command and control activities of the Command Center and to provide support to local authorities.

Following the directives of the Commander of Military Region 5, Brigade 270 promptly mobilized forces and equipment to combat the floods on the night of October 27th.
