At Thach Tuan 2 village, Hoa Xuan commune, Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai, Commander of the 5th Military Region, personally visited and encouraged two families receiving support for house construction: Mr. Tran Huu Cuong's family, whose house was built by the 682nd Coastal Missile Brigade (4th Naval Region Command); and Mr. Bui Xuan Hien's family, whose house was built by the 572nd Brigade (5th Military Region).

In Phu Luong neighborhood, Dong Hoa ward, the Commander of Military Region 5 inspected the progress of house construction for Ms. Vo Thi Sieng's family, which is being built directly by the General Staff of Military Region 5. These are all families in difficult circumstances, whose houses were completely destroyed in the recent historic flood.

During his visits to the families, the Commander of Military Region 5 expressed his sympathy for the losses and damages suffered by the people; at the same time, he encouraged the households to overcome difficulties soon and feel secure in their production as new houses are being urgently built by the soldiers day by day.

Despite the narrow roads and difficult transportation of construction materials, as well as the unpredictable weather with alternating rain and sunshine, the contractors have proactively overcome these challenges through various measures, maintaining progress and ensuring construction quality. To date, most construction sites have completed the foundation work and are moving on to the next stages as designed.

Speaking at the inspection sites, Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai emphasized: “Up to now, units of Military Region 5 as well as units under the Ministry of National Defense have simultaneously deployed construction. Some houses have already had mezzanines built according to storm-resistant standards. The armed forces of Military Region 5 strive to complete at least 50% of the houses assigned by the local authorities by January 15, 2026, ensuring that people have houses as soon as possible!”

After conducting a site inspection, the Commander of Military Region 5 highly appreciated the proactive spirit, discipline, and responsibility of the officers and soldiers in carrying out their duties; and at the same time requested the units to continue implementing the tasks on schedule, achieving quality, and constantly upholding the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, ensuring absolute safety during the construction process.

Currently, in the communes and wards of Dak Lak province that were damaged in the recent historic floods, the forces are continuing to accelerate progress, determined to complete each item on time, ensuring the correct technical and aesthetic standards, in order to hand over the houses to the people before the Lunar New Year.
