At the ceremony, Colonel Dinh Quang Thai, Commander of the 7th Engineering Brigade, delivered a speech reviewing the 60-year history of the Brigade's development, combat, and growth, while also paying tribute to the heroic martyrs and honoring the contributions of generations of officers and soldiers of the Brigade in the struggle for national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.

In response to the urgent demands of the resistance war against the US and for national salvation, on December 13, 1965, the Ministry of National Defense announced the Decision to establish Construction Site 7 under the Command of the Engineering Corps - the predecessor unit of the 7th Engineering Brigade - Hung Vuong Regiment (34th Corps) today.
The 7th Engineering Brigade was tasked with combat and ensuring mobility on the Plain of Jars - Xieng Khouang front (Upper Laos). With the spirit of "Determined to fight - Determined to win," and a spirit of diligent, creative, and self-reliant labor, simultaneously fighting and opening roads to ensure the mobility of other units, the 7th Engineering Brigade successfully completed its mission in Laos, opening a glorious chapter in the history of the heroic 7th Engineering Brigade over the past 60 years.

In recent years, the quality of training and combat readiness of the Brigade has continuously improved. From 2016 to the present, the Brigade has been recognized by the Ministry of National Defense as an "Excellent Training Unit" five times.
The brigade comprehensively implements Party and political work; assists the people in building new rural areas, eliminating backward customs, achieving sustainable poverty reduction, and contributing to the beautification of the culture of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
With exceptionally outstanding achievements in the resistance war against the US, national liberation, defense of the Fatherland, international missions, and during the period of reform, the 7th Engineering Brigade has been awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces three times by the Party and the State, along with many other prestigious awards.
The brigade has 4 collectives and 2 individuals who have been awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, with Company 4 receiving the award twice. On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the brigade was honored to receive the Third Class Order of National Defense from the State.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Dao Tuan Anh, Commander of the 34th Army Corps, acknowledged and praised the outstanding achievements of the 7th Engineering Brigade; and at the same time requested the unit to continue to thoroughly understand the resolutions and directives of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Party Committee and Command of the 34th Army Corps.
We strive to build a politically, ideologically, and organizationally strong Brigade; uphold the glorious traditions of the Vietnam People's Army and the "Paving the Way to Victory" tradition of the Engineering Corps, and aim to achieve the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces for the fourth time in the đổi mới (renovation) period.
